This sounds like a lot of money. But it’s €3 per person in the EU - to get rid of Amazon, Microsoft, Google from government and business. With current prices, that sounds like one of the best deals ever. www.theregister.com/paas-and-iaa...

Somehow I missed this completely, but the desktop version of Euro Office was released three days ago! Will be testing it out tonight! github.com/Euro-Office/...

A Neolithic farmer sits in front of his house doing handicrafts at the Archeon archaeological theme park. #photography #neolithic

A black-and-white photograph of a Neolithic farmer sitting barefoot outside a reconstructed farmhouse with a large thatched roof, carefully working on a small object in his hands. A small fire burns nearby, surrounded by simple wooden tools, benches and pottery. Leafy trees frame the peaceful historical scene.

Photograph of knights on horseback at the Archeon archaeological theme park. This photograph is in black and white, as colour photography did not yet exist in the Middle Ages, obviously. #photography #middleages #knights

A black-and-white photograph of a medieval reenactment procession. Two knights in shining armour ride horses along a sunlit path, accompanied by flag bearers and a drummer in historical clothing. Rustic wooden and brick buildings with thatched roofs form the backdrop, while leafy branches frame the scene.

Stay strong Kevin! You can do it! (Actually, I have some really fond memories of Plopsaland)

I agree with Kevin. Don’t compare W with other platforms, otherwise it’s doomed to fail. Let it grow organically in line with the values established at the outset and W will flourish.

I came across this tiny flower this summer. I think it’s the Hoary Willowherb, but please correct me if I’m wrong. It’s a weed that grew rampantly in my garden, but I think it’s a lovely little flower. #wildflower #plantphotography #flowerphotography #naturephotography #tinyflowers #photography

I don’t want to hate. I don’t want to feel overwhelmed. I don’t want to feel jealous. I just want a place for hope. A place to learn, share ideas and gain insight into others. I hope W can become our virtual Café Procope, A Brasileira or Coffe Baum in Europe. 🇪🇺☕ @anna.wsocial.eu #socialmedia

Hi Marius! @mguscius.wsocial.eu I’d been thinking about setting up a feed too, but I’m a bit worried about granting these permissions. How can we be sure that blueskyfeedcreator is trustworthy?

Maar het is juist het tegenovergestelde van soeverein. Het maakt je compleet afhankelijk van de VS.

We are fortunate that the measures needed to address climate change coincide with those needed to safeguard our sovereignty. This alignment can help us achieve both goals more quickly.

Hoe dan? Wat is de gedachte daarachter? Ik lees steeds meer NL overheidsorganisaties meewerken aan een pilot om juist met die reden Linux te gaan gebruiken en dan in het bijzonder NixOS. Dat lijkt me logischer.

English, German, French and a basic comprehension of Indonesian (Not European, does that count?) and Latin. I almost forgot my native Dutch.

Thanks! Still curious about what would happen if you’d uninstall W Identity from your old phone. I guess you soon would have to verify again.

210 2

Sander Muller @sandermuller.eu · 21/09/2026

I’m interested in your findings!

010 1

Sander Muller @sandermuller.eu · 21/09/2026

So if I move from iOS to Android, I can log in on the Android app, but to remain verified I’ll have to verify myself again on the W Identity Android app. In the meantime I’ll be temporarily unverified and cannot post. Is that correct?

120 2

Sander Muller @sandermuller.eu · 21/09/2026

It seems that if I move to Android (or more precisely /e/OS) I can log in using W Identity on my iPhone, but eventually I’ll have to renew my verification on the W Identity app on my new phone. So I’ll be unverified for some time.

110 1

Sander Muller @sandermuller.eu · 21/09/2026

Moving to a new phone on the same platform (Android to Android and iOS to iOS) will probably not be a problem, but what about iOS to Android or /e/OS? I’m a bit wary of that.

Sander Muller @sandermuller.eu · 21/09/2026

What happens when I delete my W Social and W Identity apps from my phone and install them on a new phone? Do I need to have myself verified again? “Do not uninstall this app. You may lose access to W Social”

I did something similar with a dumbphone before summer and it worked! But for summer vacation I moved back to using my smartphone for everything and was hooked again. I guess I now know what to do.
