Recently, a photo of Bela Lugosi at an antifascist rally has been circulating. I have an original copy which certainly looks similar. The one I have seen looks AI enhanced from the artifacts in the background and the additional legs. Here is a frame from my comic book from the same protest.

Hi Sy. I have had the photo for 15 years and never seen the uncropped one until now. It certainly is possible but the artifacts say enhanced. As I wrote elsewhere, the important thing is the spirit of the photo and Lugosi's intentions in fighting fascism.

n 1943 he and my grandfather, Kalman Marki and others founded the Hungarian-American Council for Democracy to support antifascist activity in the U.S. and Hungary, fighting the Hungarian authoritarian leader Horthy who was an ally of Hitler.

Most people don't know about his labor activism in Hungary in the actors' union during the 1919 revolution. When he came to the U.S. and entered the movie industry, he was one of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).
