These choices will mostly affect how the characters exist in your final ending, while said ending is left intact otherwise. I'd like to go crazy, but I don't want to go too far out of scope for just me. Still, I'm planning for there to be at least two actual, distinct endings based on this system.

The most important 'sense' you can swap to as the Dreamdealer lets you enter the dreams of someone who's asleep, allowing you to literally deal with their dreams in person. This, mechanically speaking, produces a mindscape for you to get through and thus help the dreamer... or you can sabotage it!

The gameplay is mainly narrative because writing is what I'm best at, but there will also be light platforming elements. In the game, you can swap between senses to get detailed overviews on items and people, as well as staff powers to adjust your movement and deal with obstacles.

As events proceed, the player must deal in the dreams of not only the poor and weak of Atzilu Village, but the rich and powerful warlords in surrounding areas, as well as that of literal gods. The question soon becomes... is everyone's dream worth fulfilling, or are some more deserving than others?

The game is about the resurrection of a nomadic shaman who travels the world and fulfills people's dreams; the 'Dreamdealer'. The Dreamdealer (protagonist), awakens from their crypt into a battered world full of strife and misery, greeted first by the young fox Mana who vows to accompany them.

Comparing to what I had in my mind when I started drawing each character, I'll be honest - this one didn't come out how I'd like. (I'm not a very good artist, but I'm trying...) Either way, this is the first god in Dreamdealer: Lady Wu, the 'wolf spider' of the mountain. #GameDev #IndieDev #Furry

Pictured is a mountainside with a circular hole in it, inside of which a peculiar-looking goddess grips to the inner walls with six of her eight arms - the other two clawed hands gesturing in front of her amenably. The goddess, named Wu, is half-wolf and half-black widow spider (the semi-visible hourglass marking on her lower half giving her specific species of spider away). Her top half is covered with brown fur. She has long black hair with some tied up into a bun, and a wolf snout with accompanying fangs and nose. Around her forehead, she sports five false eyes that look more human-like, but her real eyes are smaller and beadier like a spider's, spaced close around the cluster of false eyes. Her breasts hang visibly underneath her hair. The text states Wu lives in massive interconnected tunnels inside and underneath Kunlun Mountain and is the goddess worshipped by the denizens of Atzilu Village; she's apparently friendlier than her two halves would suggest. Local myth is that Lady Wu's false eyes can see into the future, though she neither confirms nor denies such rumors. She has an orchard for special peach trees in the mountain that prolong the life of people who eat them; these are so sought-after that wars have been fought to obtain them. Despite this, Lady Wu makes no efforts to meddle in these mortal affairs, finding amusement in their chaotic attempts at seeking more than they're entitled to. She takes offerings from Atzilu villagers in exchange for her counsel, magical powers, and the rare bestowal of peaches upon those who impress her. Her powers are mainly earth and nature-related, such as blessing crops to grow faster, with very little application towards combat or war. She tends to fancy mortals more than other gods in Dreamdealer's world, even taking consensual lovers of any sex or species from the village once in a while. Whether she currently has any such lover is unknown.

It's worth noting on this specific post that the fashion aesthetic in Dreamdealer is loosely inspired from the game 'Grotto' by Brainwash Gang. So, like that game... there will be some nudity of the artistic variety! (No sexual planned.) This is Mana's mother, Kalai. #GameDev #IndieDev #furry

Kalai Pyxis, a muscular older fox woman with dark brown fur and black hair in a ponytail; said hair has a white streak running through the front portion. She wears a purple loincloth with golden edges, as well as a small top that reveals the lower half of her breasts including nipples. The sleeves are torn at the shoulders. Kalai is the widowed mother of Mana. She lost her right eye trying to save her husband, and is wearing a barely-visible purple eyepatch in the picture to match her clothing. Dotes on Mana heavily as a result of her husband's death and is extremely wary of anyone who gets close to her daughter. Atzilu Village's smithy and a former renowned warrior previously known as Swiftfang due to how quickly she won fights back then. She retired as a warrior after her husband died, then became a smithy to ensure the safety of the village for Mana's future; her overworking and overstressing made her gain aforementioned gray/white hairs earlier than most. She shaves her fur shorter than her daughter's to prevent overheating at the forge - despite this, she's shown to be sweating profusely in the picture, probably from working too hard. She collects weapons from far and wide as a hobby since it reminds her of being Swiftfang. She worships the goddess of the mountain near Atzilu as most others in the village do, but she's also the one to deliver their gifts to the goddess in person since she's the bravest and strongest among them.

For a while, I lost focus on my project - 'Dreamdealer' - because I'm the only person working on it and it's tough doing it all on your own. But I'm putting my nose back to the grindstone, so I'll post some characters I've created for the game here! This is Mana Pyxis, the deuteragonist. #GameDev

Mana Pyxis, a ten year old fox girl with light brown fur and very long messy dark brown hair. She's happy and jumping for joy with her absurdly long sleeves covering her arms and hands completely.

The text says she's an only child to the widowed mother Kalai Pyxis. Mana thinks she's a hardy explorer and worries her mom constantly. She collects rocks and bugs. She accompanies the protagonist, the Dreamdealer, on their journey to make peoples' dreams come true (whether the Dreamdealer wants her to or not). Very excitable and frequently goes off to do her own thing even while with the Dreamdealer.

The 2D game is no longer my focus as it was a fangame and I didn't know how to crack into the fandom, so I just couldn't find the motivation to continue it. Instead, I'm now working on the 3D game in the screenshots, Dreamdealer, which I'll post more about on this blog later.
