this was supposed to be a bigger drawing for a modern au where lucian is a florist and vynn is a mortician who orders flowers for funerals from the shop lucian is new to working at. and vynn comes in on a rainy day and meets lucian for the first time 😏 #dndoc #art

this is so funny LOL lucian and vynn are very reserved about pda because they are so used to keeping their relationship a secret. the most cringe couple behavior in front of other people would be their intense codependency. like can y'all do anything separately or are you just fused together

if you don't know this is lucian (left) and vynn (right). they may look happy but i'm actively torturing them. they were lovers in the past, got separated for 10 years. during that 10 years there is one lich they both meet at different points in time who is using them without them knowing.

this writing is like 3 years old at this point but it would go like this

Finally, Lucian stops at a vendor, and Vynn excitedly makes his way up to him. At first, they stand behind him quietly, hoping he’ll notice them naturally standing there. This goes on for a few seconds too long before Vynn scoots around to be near Lucian’s side. He seems preoccupied with the fruit in front of him, and Vynn almost smacks his hand to his face out of frustration.

Obviously, subtly is not working. Vynn puts on a smile and leans into Lucian's peripheral vision, tilting his head to look up at him. “Hey, there.”

The other elf startles and turns to him, pressing his hand over his heart. “Oh! You scared me a bit.” He laughs, and to Vynn’s ears it sounds like a heavenly church choir.

Vynn’s ears tilt down in embarrassment, and he waves his hands frantically. “Sorry, I just- you-” He didn’t really think this far ahead. Step one, find a way to talk to the beautiful elf. Step two, what was step two?

“Vynn.” Lucian places his hands over Vynn’s waving ones, holding them in place. “It is Vynn, right?”

Dear gods, he remembers his name. “Yes! Yes. It’s Vynn.” Vynn looks down at their hands touching and gulps, then looks back up. “Lucian, right?” Like he’s not the most talked about person in the village, like Vynn hasn’t been thinking about meeting him again for the past week.

“Yes, Vynn.” Lucian says his name again, this time with a smile. The butterflies in Vynn's stomach flutter. “Fancy seeing you here outside the village. Are you looking for fruit?” He gestures his head towards the booth in front of them, full of apples.

Vynn looks at the apples, then back at Lucian. “Something like that.”
