I was a kid when these three were on the face of EVERYTHING Marvel-branded. To this day they are my favourites, and the cycle depending on my mood. "Kid likes the superheroes they were advertised the most as a kid, what a surprise" Yeah I know. They just so happen to be three of Marvel's best.

What I gathered from the synopsis, Kaine likely stole Spidey's classic costume to disguise as Peter to kidnap Mary Jane. Forcing Peter to use pieces of the cloth Black Suit, which he wore for much of the 80s and early 90s until the introduction of Venom, returning to the OG look at MJ's request.

While technically just a one-shot in the long history of Spider-Man, it definitely had impact. Ned Leeds dies in this story, it's Spidey's first time in a while wearing his red and blues (he'd been wearing the cloth Black Suit). Logan learns Peter's identity. Also yeah he killed a woman.

Charlie dies in Logan's arms, Spider-Man realises he has killed someone.
