Came in first place in the @segasaturnshiro.bsky.social monthly community challenge back in July. Had an amazing time getting back into Gungriffon and trying to push my scores up. Especially since I had to start from scratch on a new save file. Thanks to everyone who competed, y'all made it awesome!

Suit up pilots! WWIII isn't gonna win itself, and you can't win a prize if you don't get those scores up! So boot up those Saturns and show off your prowess at mech combat. Here's my first 3 scores, and it's been a hot minute since I played. Show me you can do better!

Just a cool pic of me inside a reactor from earlier this year. And yes, I absolutely hate having to wear those re-breather respirators.

In response to Nintendo's steady decline into the deepest cracks of consumerism and what I'm calling "rental-capitalism", might i suggest just... TAKING TO THE HIGH SEAS! Argh ye matey! Kick off your boots, and grab hold of them illegal downloads! Hack em, crack em, and take what is yours!

I think newer consoles decline to tell you how long it's been since someone was online for a reason. I decided to boot up the PS3 and check on some folks. A number of them have been offline for over 10 years. People I used to talk to every day, and now, well, I hope their lives are good.

Welp, finally back from Montana. Decided to drive straight through, so that ended up being 24 hours straight behind the wheel, followed by sleeping for nearly 14 hours. But sidenote, I got back into tabletop Battletech while I was up there. Might have gone a bit overboard honestly 😅

Not a channel update, but more a life one. I'm about 1,500 miles from home right now working, and I've got to say Yellowstone County, Montana, is pretty damn beautiful!

I have thoroughly enjoyed ol Argonbolt's content over the past few years. From his deep dives into mecha, anime, the Gungriffon "Side Stories", and so much more. Give the man a watch or a listen. I can't tell you how many hours I've listened to his videos on the road as I've gone to and from jobs.

Remembering April Fools 2023 when I made a mock-up cover/game card for #PanzerDragoon: The Pandora Collection on #NintendoSwitch, something that will never come to life. It was fun seeing some reactions from people, some good, some less than good.😂

Released on March 10th, 1995 in Japan, #PanzerDragoon was the initial title in a the beloved franchise. Between its otherworldly atmosphere and ethereal soundtrack, many like myself were hooked from our very first playthrough. So here's to 30 years of taking to the skies and many more!

25 years ago today, I, along with countless thousands of other young Americans, jumped off the bus to run and watch the first episode of Gundam Wing. To say that show fueled my love for anime and mecha would be a massive understatement. youtu.be/WVcCB4fze94?...

I tell ya. When a certain range of my countrymen truly believe that any criticism of their golden calf is some psychological disorder or that we aren't capable of critiquing both sides, we truly have a problem. Also, Slava Ukraini! And go back to X with Daddy Elon if that passes you off.

On this President's Day, might I suggest a few pieces of reading material. If the thousands of pages of political discourse and law are a bit too much for you, then maybe just focus on "The Republic Of Plato". Ancient Greek philosophy not your cup of tea, then maybe Locke would be insightful.

Consider this me speaking into the void. I'm doing too much with this video. Besides a ridiculously long script that I keep fucking with, the audio tracks I'm trying to make into some kind of digital ghost and now trying to build whole scenes in blender. I'm honestly just doing too much 😅

If you've ever downloaded a game, a movie, or a song without paying for it, then you have shown your despise and disdain of capitalism. You have chosen to act in a way that says that this "thing" is more valuable to the whole than to the IP holder and their bank account. That's socialism folks.

The SSG @samuel-myles.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

Just a reminder that all things are political, and if you choose to be apolitical, then that itself is a political act. Commentary and analysis of art is most certainly a political act. Especially when you understand that art and commentary are some of the earliest forms of political discourse.

Limitations can, and vary often do, drive innovative thinking and problem solving. As well, we can see throughout the 5th and 6th gen, where those limitations also helped to craft narrative, instead of vice versa. Graphical fidelity has its place, but not at the expense of story of enjoyment.

It's insane to me just how bad SEGA of America's localizations were back during the Saturn era. I'm sure there were plenty of examples during the 4th and 5th gen as well, but damn! There's a part in my new video where I talk about it in passing, so I figured I'd highlight it here too. #panzerdragoon

If SEGA were to ever themselves work on another #PanzerDragoon game, I so wish for it to be one that takes place in the series' "Ancient Age". Over the years of digging into the clues and crumbs left to us throughout the series, it has easily been the aspect to capture my attention the greatest.

I bought Astro Bot for my 8 and 4 year old to have something fun and easy to play. They've absolutely loved the game and beat it in its entirety on 3 different save files. Helping each other, and having me and their mother chip in at times. It's truly a great game for all ages and families imo.
