Sitting a coffee shop considering how to move most of my stuff to this app. I do a variety of content and some of it is educational. And educational topics, especially history, they can be sensitive. I do my best to keep things not too specific. This a learning curve to be here. I hope you follow.

Jana Lunden is whining about “cancel culture” because Johnstown pulled out of hosting her conference. It’s not cancel culture, it’s what happens when you build a brand on transphobia, racism & stoking far-right extremism. Businesses don’t want to be associated with the grift and dangerous rhetoric

Fix Your Hearts Or Die! I'm transgender, I draw dinosaurs for a living, and I'm very tired and very angry. I was hoping to finish this for #TransDayOfVisibility but alas I'm not going to make it. It should be finished in a day or two and then I'll have prints and stickers. #Paleoart #SciArt

A work in progress illustration colored in blacks, grays, and red of a Dilophosaurus family feasting on the corpse of a Sarahsaurus. Blood is dripping from the mouth of the adult and its holding the heart of the disemboweled creature at its feet. Two juvenile Dilophosaurus are taking part in feasting on the corpse their parent killed. One of the babies has crawled into the empty chest cavity of the dead Sarahsaurus and made a little place to sit. Below the illustration is the text "Fix Your Heart Or Die" which is a reference to David Lynch's Twin Peaks.

Really interesting article, this part stuck out particularly well to me:

“For some reason, they are able to process any inversion of empirical reality, but are acutely sensitive to being laughed at. Calling them weird absolutely works, and telling them their sole artistic output looks like shit also works. Laughing at people who treat AI art as in any way legitimate works. Talking about AI’s environmental impact or its implications for the workforce will not work - they like that, it makes them feel dangerous. Instead of talking about taking money from artists, talk about how it makes them look cheap. If hurting and offending people is part of the point, then we can take that fun away from them by refusing to express hurt or offence, even if we feel it.”

This little pot of shamrocks ☘️ was €6 in the wonderful little church shop on the grounds of St. Mary's Church. They have a lovely selection of locally made arts & crafts as well as the usual churchy stuff! Fantastic find ☘️

Remember who your true enemies are. The enemy is the fossil fuel industry. The enemy is the billionaire who paid for right wing propaganda & misinformation. The enemy is not your fellow working class people who fell for that misinformation. When the working class tears itself apart, the rich win.

My love for you is like a peregrine falcon. One more valentine from a past year.

A stern peregrine falcon looks at the reader against a background of pinks. "My love for you is like a Peregrine Falcon. Strong. Powerful." The peregrine zooms through the sky over a forest. "Energetic. Zooming towards you at 200 mph." The peregrine catches a bird. "Striking prey in a dramatic mid-air explosion of feathers. Storing excess meat in crevices or on ledges." The peregrine barfs up a pellet with a BLECHHH. "Vomiting up pellets of bone, feathers, gizzard, and other coarse material. Wait. What were we talking about?"
