This is such an odd decision, especially as weekend ridership rebounds, faster than weekday. Making it more annoying for people to take transit on the weekends as a bad thing, because a lot of people who don’t take transit on weekdays to work may opt for it on the weekend.

I think a lot of the Montreal Metro is automated, the driver is just kind of monitor the system and makes small adjustments. Similar to Washington DC.

As a 24-year-old it’s insane how much my cohort uses these apps. I’m happy to say I’ve never used them, and I just always buy groceries and cook for myself. I’m also a full-time college student, with a part-time job that also has personal projects and other commitments, I still find the time.

Only 2% of people there right at the current buses, that’s really surprising. I know Los Angeles is not a transit Ridership per capita juggernaut but 2% seems pretty low for how dense this area is.
