I don't think that's an entirely fair criticism of the article. The reason that particular message is worded that way is because the A-List pricing is tiered based on location; the program is technically available everywhere in the US. Here's a full list:

Love this from @harvey1966.bsky.social, about "a better fate" for his new studio than that of Arkane Austin. I guess I see a parallel to Polygon: I can mourn the loss of the team we had built, but 13 years (my tenure) was a pretty good run — sometimes things end, y'know? www.ign.com/articles/dis...
[the second half of the paragraph, starting with "You say," is highlighted in blue]

I asked about lessons learned from Arkane to hopefully help lead Black Pony to a better fate, and Smith said, "In my mind, that's a tricky, emotional question. I loved my time there with Raf, Ricardo, Ben, and everyone else. I worked at Arkane for 16 years. Part of the company is still around, in Lyon, where it started. During my years there, we went back and forth between Texas and France. The company released Dishonored, Prey, Dishonored 2, some great Dishonored DLC, Death of the Outsider, Mooncrash, and Deathloop. We worked on a few other projects too, including Redfall at the end. You say, 'a better fate.' But honestly imagine if, like Arkane, our new studio lasted 27+ years, and released at least 4-5 absolute bangers, on top of being a super fun, interesting place to work, a place that experienced what I can only describe as electric fan support. If that happens again, I will absolutely count myself as blessed. I would feel lucky in the extreme to experience that again. And I don't know of many places that get to that much joy and creative success. It's just so rare. Very hard to pull off."

a screenshot of two paragraphs from a New York Times Opinion piece by David Ellison:

Unfortunately, I can’t give anyone a view into my heart and mind, but I can share this: I have regularly voted for candidates of both parties; I hold some views that would be called conservative and others that would be called liberal, just like most Americans; and when it comes to our news operations, I do not aspire to lead these companies to bend their newsrooms to my views. I believe that news should be based on facts and truth.

Great news organizations like CNN and CBS News are here to tell it straight down the middle. That requires newsrooms that reflect the whole world, not one side of it. And it requires independence. Our journalists will continue to answer to the facts and to all the people they serve — not to any party or cause. These were founding principles for both CNN and CBS News, for legends like Ted Turner and Edward R. Murrow, and it is exactly that kind of independence that has always fueled the greatness of “60 Minutes.”a screenshot of a Bluesky post from Sen. Ron Wyden posted at 10:17 AM EDT on Aug. 4, 2026, saying, "Yep. Earlier this year I was interviewed by Sharyn Alfonsi of 60 Minutes about my Epstein investigation. Subsequently, CBS pulled the segment and fired the reporter. The MAGA buyout of media is aiding the Trump administration’s Epstein cover up."

Wyden's post quotes a post by The New Republic posted at 10 AM saying, "Banks permitted millions in suspicious transactions tied to Epstein—and former 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi had the story months ago. But the report would never air," with an attached image featuring the headline "60 Minutes Quietly Killed Story About Epstein’s Shady Banking Tactics"

If there is a question to ask, then, it is this: Why does Musk get a pass? Why do politicians, journalists and commentators treat his far-right racist radicalism as a sideshow rather than the core of his political, ideological and industrial project, seen in everything from his deep support for Donald Trump in the United States and Restore Britain in Britain to his decision to construct a massive pollution-generating data center in predominantly Black Memphis?

Musk spends a large part of his free time fomenting violence and spreading the same hateful ideology that motivated some of the deadliest shootings and attacks ever to happen on American soil. It is that fact, and not the cars he builds or the rockets he launches, that ought to define his place in public life.

Upon the proclamation of the republic on 29 October 1923, the name Türkiye Cumhuriyeti (توركيه جمهوريتى) was adopted. In December 2021, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan called for expanded official usage of Türkiye, saying that Türkiye "represents and expresses the culture, civilization, and values of the Turkish nation in the best way". In May 2022, the Turkish government requested the United Nations and other international organizations to use Türkiye officially in English; the UN agreed. Until 2022, its official English name remained the Republic of Turkey. Though not official, the term Turkish Republic is sometimes used in descriptive, historic, or academic contexts.

Had the pleasure of copy editing Design Room's latest oral history, which is @jaymcastello.bsky.social's look at the making of Spore! It's a really well-put-together piece with some hilarious quotes:
Ocean Quigley (art director): One of the journalists who covered [the GDC talk] said, "This is either the most amazing game design of all time, or an act of bold chicanery." It was B. It was an act of bold chicanery. Chris Trottier (gameplay designer): I needed to have a stress level that was appropriate. [...] Will, once a train is runaway, he'll just kind of shrug and be like, I'm sure it'll be fine. [But] that was not a good fit for my life at that time, so I did not see the last year of Spore.

Jenna Chalmers (gameplay designer): Will got distracted, as he usually does near the end of a project in general, let alone his specific distractions for this project. He is more new idea and big vision. So once you're down in the weeds, tightening all the little nuts and bolts, that's not the part that's interesting to him.

Will Wright (chief designer): I got a divorce. I was distracted by that, for sure.

Guillaume Pierre (gameplay producer): Will disappeared for the last year of the game. […] He got a new girlfriend, and he would spend more time with his new girlfriend than time in the office. He would come in once every few weeks and play the game a little bit, and then disappear again.
