We announced the details for my mother’s funeral on Facebook today and the amount of people DMing my father about going already is so encouraging. I really wish she had shared her cancer diagnosis with other people. She would have had so many people who would want to fight it with her…

I hope she really is better off with whatever happens after death. Her cards were pretty unfair when she was alive. I didn’t realize how much I missed the little adventures and drives we use to go on. So many times where it was just her and me navigating highways.

She told me to listen to the radio kinda nervously, anxiously… but tbh it didn’t sound clear beyond a general talk radio sound. So again I asked her if she was okay, and she looked at me, and she said “Yeah, I’m okay” And I was so relieved that I cried to the point where it woke me up irl

I was a bit too aware in this dream, I knew she shouldn’t be here, that she shouldn’t be driving, and I was scared that she wouldn’t speak to me before the experience was over so finally I asked her if she was okay.

Today I had the first dream about my mom since she passed sway. We were in a car together, i didn’t try to piece together which one. She was driving. She had a tiny pizza in her right hand and was slowly eating at it while occasionally taking glances at me. Just driving along.

Today’s exhausting experience is that my mother has been loopy for a few days We’ve taken her to the hospital and she keeps making jokes while they’re asking questions. The nurses don’t know her so they’re trying to be patient, but she’s alarming them 😭

So my mother has cancer and that sucks However, it is treatable without surgery and without chemo And The cancer has caused enough concern for my parents to finally ask for outside aids to help. If nothing else. The last part will finally give a level of freedom we just haven’t had in years.

Like for the 3am and following shower. It took her 30 mins to get into the shower and then it took 2 hours no lie to get her out. Past 7am to clean up afterwards. There’s details I’m leaving out because I can only overshare so much There is no rest.
