iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Not a bad collection of books this month! Snake Eater and Royal Assassin and Strength Of The Few were my favorites this month. Have you read any of these? #booksky #reading

A large collection of books, on a green screen

I don’t let the opportunities present themselves too often before large plot events, but in the piece I’m working on right now I have the reveal take place after it could have been most advantageous, because I want there to be anger and frustration from supporting characters and the reader.

100

I have some of my characters not revealing themselves to others but the reader knows the truth, and wants the truth out when there’s opportune moments but it doesn’t happen yet. It creates a give and take between them and the reader.

Getting some deeper immersion in science fiction lately. Reading We Are Legion (We Are Bob) by Dennis Taylor and Empire of Silence by Christopher Ruocchio. Both are very enjoyable so far! What are you reading this weekend? #booksky #writesky #sciencefiction #books

My off days from work have now been funneled into planning, outlining, more reading, and writing, and now illustrating for my Substack letters and reviews. I’m having a lot of fun. What part of the process do you enjoy? #bookreviews #substack #reading #booksky #illustration

I built my library from the ground up and spent a lot of time making it truly special. I wrote about my creative space and I'm inviting you to share it now. Let me know what you think! #booksky #libraries #personallibrary #books #reading #fantasy #fiction #literature

Behind The Scenes: The Library

An inside look at my ultimate reading space

That is a really good flow state you got into!

Ohhh I’ll be listening to this! Thank you! What mood does it get you in for writing and do you find it influences your work?

What do you listen to as you write? I'm listening to ambient sounds from a dark academia YouTube livestream. And my cats playing with their toys. Sometimes I put British Bakeoff on the TV on low, especially if I want to keep the writing vibes happy. #writing #booksky #writesky #fiction #fantasy

As I write my world building plan, I remember why I love it so much. It’s a Minecraft world in my mind, pouring onto the page. Inspired by countless influences but unique to me. What’s your favorite part of your world building journey? #booksky #writers #reading #books

Sam @samg92.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

In the middle of Strength of the Few!! Great story!

You’ll love Assassins Apprentice! I’m on the third book in the series!

Woohoo!! Looking forward to your review!

What are you reading today? I’m reading Assassins Quest by Robin Hobb. Her work is delightful even when it makes me sad. Poor Fitz. #booksky #reading #books

Thank you!! Writing on Substack is getting addictive, it’s much faster and easier to share than a self run blog on Wordpress

It does matter. In dark times, the small voices count. It’s how we carry on, in our communities we need the brave voices like yours.

Holy buckets. At 33 years old, this is what I’ve achieved so far with my reading. I don’t think that audiobook number is accurate though. #booksky #reading #books

Got my office nice and tidied for the work week ahead and added some lights! Ready for some good writing sessions! #booksky #writesky #authors #writing

A cozy home office featuring a desk with dual monitors and a black ergonomic chair. To the left, there are stacked storage boxes and a white filing cabinet, while the right side includes a printer and a large whiteboard. The room is illuminated with blue LED lights, and various framed posters hang on the walls.

What do people want out of a book blog? What would get you to want to read what I write about books that other people wrote?

I organized some of my shelves after fitting in what I got for Christmas, and I don’t know, is there such a thing as too many tchotchkes? Let’s see your bookshelves! #booksky #reading #bookshelves #books

"A wooden bookshelf filled with a variety of books, including colorful spines and some decorative items. The top shelf displays several funko pop figurines, while the middle shelves contain more books alongside mugs and small figurines. A green neon sign reading 'Sam' is visible, and the lower shelves feature a mix of books, decorative objects, and collectibles."

First read of the year! If you’ve read this book, or this series, how do you like it? I really liked the first book. #booksky #reading #books
