I believe in keeping kids safe, keeping things fair, and keeping politicians out of our personal business — out of our gun safes and our doctor's offices. And I'm fighting to get dark money out of our elections so we can stop seeing Aaron's phony ads, and start fixing what's broken.

NEW AD: Turn on the TV lately and all you'll see from Aaron Flint is fear and lies–plusa lot of dirty money being spent to distract from the fact that he doesn’t have any plans to solve our problems. So, let’s cut the crap.

Need some good news today? Well, you’re in luck! Because we are winning!! Despite tech billionaires and party boss SuperPACs dumping millions of dollars into this race to try and help their political puppet Aaron Flint, the most recent poll shows us up by three!

We're outworking him, but I can't do it alone. So go to samformontana.com, sign up to volunteer, and let's show them what it looks like when working people pull together. We can do this, friends! 💪❤️✊

Sam Forstag for Montana

Sam Forstag is a smokejumper and union leader — a working Montanan who understands the struggle of breaking your back trying to get ahead and still barely getting by.

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Aaron's got money pouring in from AI SuperPACs & corporate donors, but all that dirty money won't work this time. We win by saying we're tired of the lies & distractions, and by working our tails off to talk to our neighbors, friends, and families between now and November 3.

BREAKING NEWS: ANOTHER poll shows this race in a dead heat. We can win this, and we have 49 days left to do it!

Today we remember the victims and first responders of 9/11, and hold close all those who forever carry the grief of that day. Thank you, Missoula Firefighters IAFF Local 271, for the invitation to honor the lives lost and remember the heroes who answered the call. We will never forget.

Nowhere does Labor Day like Butte. Happy to celebrate it with the Southwestern Montana Central Labor Council and the union members who make Montana work!

0143

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

Unions have always been the best tool we’ve got to build our own power as working people. Generations fought to win the workplace rights we enjoy today. That fight ain’t over, but today, we celebrate them.

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

So let’s pick up the torch so many Montanans carried before us. Let’s build union power by getting union members to positions of power, and let’s show em just how much we can do when working people stand together. Happy Labor Day, Montana!

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

In the fight against unfathomable corruption & corporate greed, solidarity is the way we win. When unions are strong, wages are higher. When we stand together in solidarity, there’s little we can’t do.

We can build that future for the Montanans who come next. I’m grateful to have Governor Racicot’s support doin’ it. Go to samformontana.com to find out how to help. It’ll take a lot of work, but we can do it together.

No matter which way you've voted before, let's agree on this: 1 job ought to be enough to afford safe housing, real healthcare, childcare, and a secure retirement, and it should afford you enough time to get out on our public lands without having to worry about it being sold out from under us.

1123

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

As important as any particular policy I’m fighting for is the work of binding up the wounds of division and remembering that our neighbor is not our enemy.

131

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

That our democracy should serve to improve people’s lives, not protect the powerful. Above all else, we both believe that it’s not too late to build a politics with decency & virtue at its core.

142

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Governor Racicot and I don't agree on everything, but we agree that the people we serve should always come before the party we’re in. That our constitutional freedoms are worth fighting for, especially when it’s not politically convenient.

The firefighters & flight attendants, teachers & caregivers, builders & boilermakers. The members who lay the pipes & protect our public lands — we’re fighting for a future where one job is enough to afford the basics, and for a Representative who answers to working people instead of party bosses.

1142

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Well talk is cheap, and we’ve got work to do, so let’s spend these next two months heeding that wisdom and bringing working people together so we can send one of our own to Congress. Montana's unions know the difference.

191

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

NEW AD OUT ACROSS MONTANA: While Aaron Flint spent the last decade spewing anger and hate from his air conditioned recording studio, we’ve been here on the ground, working more and getting less.

14419

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

An AI Super PAC poured $590,000 into Montana to elect their very own political puppet, AI Aaron, just in the month of May. AI Aaron will serve the corporations who fund his campaign & pull his strings. We’ve got plenty of political puppets in Washington as is, let’s not send another.

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

18 service members dead. Hundreds wounded at a price of over $100 billion for taxpayers and $4.30/gallon for gas. While all of us pay the price, Congress fails to act and a few corporations make out like bandits. End the war. Take care of our service members. Invest at home.

0184

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

They said the war would last a few weeks. Today, it’s been 6 months. Another lie. More endless wars that leave us poorer in so many ways.

2186

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Aaron Flint's been at this for years, looking for ways to strip protections for our public lands and sell them off to the highest bidder. These places belong to all of us. I'd like to keep it that way.

041

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

We don’t need to roll back public lands protections to fight wildfires or responsibly harvest natural resources. We can defend wild places for hunting, fishing, and recreating while investing in public lands agencies and creating jobs.

151

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

We've already got 380,000 miles of road in these forests and we're over $6B behind on keeping them up. Seems to me we ought to take care of what we've already built, and pay the folks who do that work, before we go carving in more.

131

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Aaron Flint wants to roll back protections for more than six million acres of our national forests and open them up for new roads and development. I spent years defending those public lands, so let me tell you why that’s such a bad idea.

NEW AD: Smokejumpers have a saying, “ask for a stronger back, not a lighter load.” And that’s what Montanans do. Early starts, late nights, stretching every dollar til it breaks.

This campaign is about putting principle before party to improve the lives of working people. While we won’t have Michele onstage tomorrow, that’s what our town hall will be about. I hope to see you there. Thanks, friends.

191

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

The sort of pushback Michele received from party leaders is precisely the reason that these civil discourse conversations are so important, and it’s why I still hope to see all of you at tomorrow’s town hall in Corvallis.

191

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

It’s a shame that today’s political system creates such a high cost for engaging across party lines.

140

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

I was disappointed to hear that my friend Michele was being harassed for her willingness to co-host a town hall focused on civil discourse and finding common ground, and I respect her decision to step aside as a co-host.

150

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

An update on tomorrow's town hall in Corvallis: former Rep. Michele Binkley will no longer be co-hosting, but the town hall is still on.

1146

Sam Forstag @samforstag.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

Nick has voted for Donald Trump every time he's been on the ballot. But after our Anaconda Town Hall, we earned Nick’s vote. Because despite whatever pundits try to tell us, Montanans agree on so much more than we disagree.

Fire season is here. My thoughts and prayers are with the folks who’ve lost their homes in Spokane and had to evacuate in Washington, Oregon, Montana, and around the west. To my brothers and sisters on the fire-line: please stay safe, and thanks for everything you do.

Montanans didn’t want this war, but we’re the ones paying for it. Let’s be done with endless wars and invest here, at home, by serving the veterans who have earned it and the Montanans who need it. Our hearts go out to the loved ones of those killed and wounded in this war.
