It sounds like this is more common than I think, which makes me feel a little better honestly.

It was day three of the festival, I was tired, okay?

When I was at a music fest someone complimented my band shirt and I just smiled and waved cuz I thought they were pointing out that it very much highlighted the bounty of my bosom. It took me over an hour to realize that guy was the guitarist for the band whose merch I was wearing. FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

The maid outfits in the IDW comic are adorable, so of course I'm going to put Silver in one. Of course.

The trip wasn't all smoke and horror though! Lots of beauty out there! (Wild horses across the river we were camping on was such a treat!)

It's scary what BC is going through, and it keeps getting worse..

Another fire to the north of this one destroyed the area around a road we went out of our way to drive down, completely oblivious to the fact that the view we were seeing would be gone a week later. Houses I imagined living in are piles of charred rubble now.

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

We drove through here less than a week ago. Some of the areas we took photos of are destroyed now.

Taken one week apart. The wildfires out here are scary.

Sonic is sewn onto my battle vest, and I am a little impressed he didn't get ripped off.

We survived our first wall of death together. I ate dirt pretty bad after getting slammed into a group of people playing Mortal Combat on an N64 in the middle of the mosh pit. Dead serious.

Having a BLAST at Loud as Hell metal fest this year... although it is also hot as hell T.T

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

All he had to do was call me and ask if I was cool with it. I do not appreciate being told they want hundreds of dollars more than I'd agreed to when I dropped off the car. It took me an entire year of meticulous saving to be able to get this work done. What an insult.

021

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

Anyway, I get my quotes signed and take a copy home specifically for this reason. So it came down to whether they wanted to eat the difference, or tie up the garage for 3 hours taking the new parts off the car for no pay at all, because I was not gonna budge.

120

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

I might have been more sympathetic if the parts he installed on my car weren't twice the price each and he actually had my consent to use them. There was no reason to be using all fancy shiny premium parts when I specifically asked for the cheapest options.

110

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

And then he tried to tell me that the quote that was given to me when I made my appointment wasn't valid because how was he supposed to know the cheaper parts wouldn't be available over a week later? When he was supposed to order them right away?

110

Sameth Starr @samethstarr.bsky.social · 16/07/2026

The mechanic "forgot" to order the parts he quoted me for, so when we brought our vehicle for service he used significantly more expensive parts and then didn't tell me until they were already on the vehicle.

If you're curious how my life is going, I somehow managed to accidentally bind my alt key to 110 seconds of randomly timed left clicks and spent days trying to figure out what the fuck was wrong with my mouse.
