The Griffin has always had that name (to my knowledge) and actually ended up lending its name to Brentford's old ground, a rare example of a football ground named after a pub!

I tried to keep the tone as upbeat as possible. It's a shame the pubs have gone but I see the book as a celebration of their life and times and all the curious things that happened in them!

Handily the No7 bus goes from right outside the station. A nice bit of integrated transport to get you to one of the few parts of Brighton where it feels like the car gets priority.

Really enjoyable listen John! As a Brightonian I have mixed views of the Marina. I think the best way to arrive is sitting on the top deck of the bus, really allows you to sense the scale of the concrete ramp!
