For example, Wayfinder was not a commercial success (mostly due to design reasons). Still, I have found it is almost a ubiquitous inspiration among stylized 3d artists, and I think it will shape game art for decades to come. Seriously, I see it talked about everywhere in that niche.

Just watched the music video for *NSYNC's Christmas song. And I'm ROLLING because there are a bunch of shots where the video editor clearly couldn't be bothered to edit the green screen out, and instead put some (poorly translated?) saying/greetings from different cultures right on top of it.

I've been playing some Wayfinder lately. It's not the perfect game, and you can tell where they had to cut corners. But it's got a ton of heart, and I like supporting companies that remove micro-transactions for a player-focused experience. Plus, the environment art is absolutely stunning, whew.

I haven't talked about this on here yet so here it goes: My first Unreal Engine game, The Bureau of Fantastical and Arcane Affairs is well underway. I worked solo on the project for 9 months but now have an incredibly talented small team of folks who have joined to help me make this game amazing! 🧵
