When I was a kid, I woke up early on a Saturday morning and decided to watch TV while everyone else was still sleeping. I turned on the TV to Star Trek at the exact moment that there was an extreme close up of a Klingon giving a battle roar. I immediately turned the TV off and went back to bed.

At this point I'd say Morph. There's been a lot of work done to set up a 616 version of them, but they need to be in a mainline, print book to lock in as a "real" X-Men character. Plus they allow the artists to have little cameos as a treat.

I dont believe that LLMs have any capacity to reach sentience, but as I see study after study showing AI usage as having a negative impact on learning and critical thinking skills, I can't help but think that silly little ape book might be the most important story I've ever read.

In a scene not to dissimilar to the Animus from the Assassin's Creed games, the apes hypnotized a human test subjects to tap into the memories of an ancestors. There were learned that one luxury in particular led to this collapse - the trained ape.

The book, like the movie, ended with the protagonist finding out that he was not on a distant planet, but rather in Earth's far future, where mankind regressed to an animal state and apes became intelligent. The mechanism for this twist, however, was much different.

AoS broke canon because the movie side kept the ending of Infinity War a secret, so there was no snap in Agents of SHIELD. I see it as MCU until they went into the future, and a separate universe after they came back, but Secret Wars should be a great way to roll the whole show back into canon.
