You will never believe it... @bsky.app managed to fuck up Age verification once again... Still waiting 2+ hours now for "the email that could take up the 5 minutes to arrive"

Hmm guess I got to look into iroh, I swear when I think I know everything about the protocol there's always something new or i never knew about before.

NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory @rubinobservatory.org · 25/09/2026
Welcome to Chile, SLAC LSST Camera team colleagues! They arrived from California last week for scheduled camera work during NSF–DOE Rubin Observatory’s planned engineering downtime. This engineering period will last about three weeks in total. 🔭🧪
A "selfie" from two workers wearing helmets and safety vests using Rubin's primary mirror. They're standing on a metal platform with metal structural beams reflected behind them. Five workers wearing safety gear inside Rubin's dome next to a curved concrete wall. A person in red safety gear and yellow helmet laying on a platform while working on Rubin's giant digital camera. Two people working on computers in an office with safety hard hats and high-visibility vests nearby.

The Medulla Nebula (CTB 1) is a supernova remnant in the constellation of Cassiopeia. A commonly used estimate for how long ago the supernova occurred is 10,000 years. This was one of my targets at Northern Nights Star Fest this year. #astrophotography

I use localized models, they work fine, helps to also know how to code, I think thats the sweet spot.

Maybe they should consider not doing controversial things lol

Interesting idea!, how is identity resolution / discovery being handled tho? 🤔

This is why they are woking on AT proto spaces 👀

If you think about it the AT protocol is like a "Do anything" platform. Looking at the @atstore.fyi catalog you can literally make anything of any caliper for any community.

Hi, it was Infonomenon but that was too long, so it was changed to a shorter version, Infoenon. If I can't find anyone to help build the platform it might change again lol, starting to get burnt out with this.

In tonight's Beta update Infoenon.com can now answer most* questions like who is, what is, where is, etc. #atproto #atdev #infoenon

Infoenon.com 👀 Your identity. Your data. Your internet. Infoenon is a search platform like Google, Bing, etc but built around the open web, where your identity and what you publish stay yours. Still in beta (like 71.9% functional), so give it a try and tell us what’s broken! #ATProto #atdev

Added a Auto suggest/autopredict. Now when you search for things you get better more matched results. Oh also changed up the UI library a bit still modifying a few things but it's a bit more modern 👀

I don't think "most" is the best way to put it. More like a select original few.

Working on employee verification. If you operate a business profile you can set any AT protocol user as verified and even show their role. All 100% free and as per usual fully controllable by you! This is a WIP feature but it's looking good so far.

Everything has to start somewhere, even if centralized. PLC is centralized, but the ATProto team is actively working on it. They recently released PLC replicas, so if Bluesky disappeared, other operators could still resolve existing identities, the last thing they need to solve is actually writing

Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 07/08/2026
What does this mean exactly 🤔

Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 07/08/2026
I believe at least the last time I checked the AT protocol team is actively working on solving this. But either way technically speaking it doesn't strictly require plc so it's not even that big of a deal anyway.

Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 07/08/2026
Tell me you don't understand the AT protocol without telling me... Think of the Protocol like the internet, the only way to get rid of it is to EMP the entire world. Bluesky has the biggest server and the most users which is why it may seem that way but they don't control it.

@atstore.fyi Y'all should definitely consider adding a report button for spam reviewers. Especially the ones that leave negative reviews on every single product without actually seeming to test them.
000
Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 07/08/2026
Hmm odd, I would still consider checking your configurations either way. I noticed you leave a lot of reviews on other things and I checked a bunch of those things and they all seem to work fine. Logically speaking that means the likely issue is with something on your end.

This looks to me like a ISP error. Our domain fully resolves worldwide and has no restrictions, the only other cause is local governmental or isp restrictions please try again with or without a VPN.

Not down? I checked the server logs around the time that this was posted and it wasn't down then either. 🤔

The @infoenon.com team and I have been completely rebuilding the application for the past few months. I just finished testing the most recent build we just compiled in our test environment... Google better start packing their bags

My Website and the thousands of others built on this Protocol is the point. All of these extremely different websites doing different things all connected to one user, all portable.

It's honestly amazing how they managed to fuck this up so badly lol. Somehow they managed to do something worse than Facebook and I didn't think that was possible.

Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 10/07/2026
Bluesky only implemented it because they would face legal trouble. Deer social or any other client no matter what they do cannot avoid the same thing, it may work for now but they can't avoid it forever.

Try production testing first next time lol.
010
Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 01/07/2026
It's because they tried and failed to rush a new feature and clearly they did not production test it as it was broken from the start.

Not Bluesky nuking their entire platform for over an hour because they poorly implemented a push for Age verification. 💀

Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 30/06/2026
A good example of this is like Reddit. They tried the "get around requirements for each state method" It became too expensive and annoying, and eventually they just did every state all at once
100
Sam Thibault 👩‍🚀 @sam.workingpeer.com · 30/06/2026
The above image shows everything they legally need to have based on every state not just one state. When it comes to a big software company like this is just easier to do it all instead of one at a time 🤷🏻‍♂️
