SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 11/10/2026I finally fucking did it. I ported the Hi Poly Cut-scene Models from #ShadowHearts2 into blender with the Rigs too. 041
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Yo, so uh, back on adderall after over 9 months of being off of it. Gonna be busy cleaning things up on the “backend” until I can finally get back to making things. But progress is still progress. Damn I did a lot of nothing this year. 000
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026(5) How does a single frame contain 2 frames? Video = 30fps CRT = 60hz CRT updates every other field every cycle Video displays 1 “Combed” frame for 2 Cycles First frame is encoded every other line starting at Line 1 Second frame is encoded every other line starting at Line 2 000
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026(4) Why? since the video’s were originally going to be played on a crt at 480i, the crt beam only draws half of the frame (every other horizontal line starting at the first, then the next refresh the second) every refresh so it was perceivably 60 fps even though the video was only 30. 100
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026(3) what is interlacing? , Non-Deinterlaced footage contains 2 frames within one, split up every other horizontal line, the artifact of this is “Combing” using Yadif 2X fixes this by doubling the framerate while also separating each frame and doubling the vertical resolution. 100
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026(2)That YouTube’s compression doesn’t fuck it up. But also because YouTube doesn’t support 480p at 60fps and either way Modern codecs would just massacre the video with compression artifacts. 100
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026If yall want the nerdy reason, it’s because I found out a shitton of old media is preserved incorrectly. A lot of it is uploaded at it’s original resolution and not De-interlaced and in turn Shit. De-interlacing Up’s the content to it’s original framerate, and also scaling it to 4K makes it so 100
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026If yall are curious as to what I get up to outside of this you can check out this YouTube channel I run. I archive old videos and properly de-interlace em youtu.be/duH952KXL6Myoutu.beHistory of Fatalities Featurette (2006) 4K60PYouTube video by Jamie's Archival Channel 000
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Just a heads up, i keep on forgetting to mention that I rarely post/create as often since my job over the last year and a half has been a lot more taxing mentally than I thought it would be. Talking to dumbasses for hours on end all day really wears me down lol. 010

SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 12/08/2026I’ll try and be more active here since I don’t really have anywhere else to just mosey around and get ideas for stuff. Or just appreciate amazing art in general. I sorta dropped off the face of the earth to a lot of people and I’m sorry if I worried y’all. I’m okay now. 030
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Yikes it’s been a while. So uh.. An update for those who are curious. I was in a very unhealthy relationship, yet again, and I’m getting back up on my feet after being mentally strung out for almost a year at this point. Ended up getting out of it and I’ve been piecing things back together. 130

SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 11/07/2026Yall will not believe what I found today in the ewaste bin at work (I also sold my pc’s 3090 last month and have been suffering ever since) The tech gods have bestowed upon me a sign to continue creating!!!! 020
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 25/06/2026It's one thing to see yourself in a character, it's another if you listen to the song that goes to their send off and both times you do you bawl your eyes out. I didn't think a random Indie series would make me contemplate my life to this degree but I'm thankful that it did. 020

SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 24/04/2026Never in a million years would I think that I could have a game where Dale Cooper from Twin Peeks has a massive crush on Vortex the hellhound from Helluva Boss. But here we are 020

SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 07/03/2026Just finished my 3rd playthrough of the game, damn after realizing that it’s been almost 10 years since I did it’s kinda weird and melancholic. 000
SaltySweets🔞 @saltysweets.bsky.social · 07/03/2026Omfg, the whole idea behind the original “Plan” for Michael in GTA V was to have Dave take out Trevor but Brad walked in the way, so Dave went ahead and went to plan B which was for michael to get shot to play it off as him dying. I JUST noticed that. 111
