Funky Friday 😎 Love don't live here anymore is my favourite from the album. I already played my 2nd favourite track (first come, first serve) in a mix. This one 👇 hardly ever gets played.

171

Saltybeats @saltybeats.bsky.social · 08/04/2026

Tend not to buy pre-mixed records. This one came in a job lot of 100 breakbeat 12"s. It's quite good IMO, would come in handy if you were DJing out and needed to take a dump or nip to the car for something. . . Stick this on and you have nearly 12 minutes 😃

151

Saltybeats @saltybeats.bsky.social · 06/04/2026

Mantronix Monday. This one's a bit more " easy listening" than his other stuff.

Saltybeats @saltybeats.bsky.social · 05/04/2026

Not my usual offering this, but, it was Herb Alpert's b/day yesterday (so Bluesky tells me) and I'm a fan. I picked one you don't hear very often 2 tracks on the album that I like. . . "8" ball and this one👇.

So. . . .My trusty Denon Amplifier has finally given up. Had it nearly 35 yrs and I was down to 1 working channel, however, the speaker output is now toast. I looked on Richer Sounds website and found this Fosi Audio Bluetooth/RCA input amp.. I have to say, it's flipping great 💯%. Cannot fault it!🙂

My old Denon amplifier (broken) with a new Fosi audio Bluetooth/RCA input amplifier from Richer Sounds on top

Erm, no thanks YouTube, you're not getting 1 penny more of my money until google stops supporting president fartbag

I cancelled YouTube premium when I found out their parent company (google) donated to trump's inauguration.
They keep sending me free trials. This is the latest one

Early start for me today 🥱 Originally from 1982, this one was super rare til they reissued it a few yrs ago. OG copies were fetching BIG money on discogs. Now they're more sensibly priced! Not to be confused with That's the joint by The Funky four plus one.

Saltybeats @saltybeats.bsky.social · 26/03/2026

U don't hear these guys played very often. Some great tracks on here. . . This one samples Adeva (respect) although I can't listen to it without thinking about Rodney Dangerfield 🙂

Bought this one this time last yr, I played it once then stuck it in the crate. It used to belong to a Gerald somebody who ran Tartan Disco. He'd written "good" on it so it must be good🙂 It's a long shot but does anyone know him??. I think it's quite jolly 🕺💃👍
