Slow declines are hard to judge when you see them every day. My Ester got VERY thin near the end, but was not in any pain and unbearably happy. But I saw her every day, and thin became the new normal. Looking back at her now, I am horrified I let her get so skinny.

5- Not sure how fun this fact is, but I will only ever drive Volvo cars until the day I die because some old codger pulled out in front of me in a Suburban and i t-boned him at 40 mph. I walked away with a totaled car (sob) and a teeny abrasion from the seatbelt. Pic is the pretty side, FYI

Smooshed Volvo C30 hatchback in the middle of the road from the passenger side. I was especially sad it was totaled because I loved that car, and I bought it the last year they made that model in the US. Ended up in a (blek) S60 sedan as her replacement.
