I’d been stressing all week about two bits of outstanding admin. Related to solar panels and to tax. I’ve just done them in an hour & twenty mins. Including realising I have Airdrop & Maildrop & using them both. Everything involves working out how to do something so I can do something else. 🙄

Assembled! A two man job done by one large determined woman. 💪🏼 Took about an hour, which included watching three YouTube videos, to check I was doing the tricky lid part right, and telling two ‘Jay-Hoover Wetnessies’ that I wasn’t interested in their bible study classes, thank you.

Rain stopped play for the pebble-dashing again today. Just the poolroom porch, the plinths & bits around the windows to go. Ive got the lingo! Tomorrow looks hopeful, especially in the morning. As my mum used to say ‘Rain, rain go away. Rain on Auntie Sue in Spain.’

Told her next door I thought I had a pampas grass from hers. She said we won’t see it get this size, they take thirty years. Mine is 8 times the size it was a year ago. And it has a few pampas plumes of its own. And my Nana lived to be 37 years old than I am now. And she was fat.

Been researching Alderley Edge today. My mum went to school there and my Nana took me for lunch some place on the high street in the 80s & the decor was so stunning I can’t remember what I ate. I saw this property!! 😳 I might just take a day trip on the train. Have a nice lunch.

The first pebbles are being dashed, even though not all parts are at that stage yet. A man with a big grin stopped, stood in the drive for a while & watched. Lots of folk have a good stare as they pass. In many ways it’s like icing a cake and adding what we used to call hundreds & thousands.
