This entire post above is not individual investment advice. All decisions are made by you at your own risk.

And if you followed someone else’s advice, you will regret it twice as much. That is why you have to think on your own. Especially with speculative assets like gold, which has no cash flow like stocks or bank deposits. So think.

Why do I keep saying “personally”? Because each of you needs to think for yourself. If you sell an asset that has risen fast and it keeps going up, you will regret it. If you do not sell and it drops, you will regret that too.

To be clear, for thoughtful long-term diversified investing, gold, even at all-time highs, is not a bad asset. The world will keep fragmenting, the dollar will keep losing strength, and central banks will keep buying gold bars for their reserves instead of green Franklins.

Keep in mind that if gold goes up 10% in a month, your joy will be much smaller than the pain you would feel if it drops 10%. That is basic behavioral economics.

If, on the other hand, you really want to test your nerves and gamble a bit, personally, I would buy gold only with an amount you would not mind seeing down 10 to 20% in a month.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 30/01/2026
So if you have only just discovered gold and suddenly feel a strong urge to buy it, personally, I would buy Bitcoin instead. Right now is a great moment. You will sleep better.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 30/01/2026
Gold is a similar story. No one knows where the price will be in six months, because it is driven by demand from central banks, investors, and speculators. Hypothetically, gold could drop 5% tomorrow, rise 10% the day after, and then fall 20% a week later.

When people do not really understand investing, they often feel a strong urge to make money exactly at the moment when everyone is shouting that this is a “sure thing.” Remember Bitcoin in 2021. Some people bought it at $64,500, and just a couple of months later the price dropped by exactly 50%.

🪙 Should you buy gold right now? Since gold is hitting all-time highs, people are asking this question more and more often. My view is simple. If you are only now thinking about buying gold, you probably do not understand it very well.

The market is rewarding attention to detail and punishing blind faith. Right now, it is not the bold who survive, but the disciplined.

• Monero. Selling pressure increased due to regulatory concerns and capital rotating out of privacy assets. • Aster. A pullback after volatile moves and position trimming by market participants.
100
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
• ZZ. The asset remains under pressure due to fading interest and a lack of fresh catalysts. • Dash. Facing broader pressure on privacy and payment-focused assets with no strong news to offset it. • WLFI. The downtrend continues amid weak demand and no clear catalysts.
100
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
Now let’s talk about the ones clearly struggling today. Top losers: $MYX -15%, $ZZ -11.1%, $DASH -7.3%, $WLFI -7.3%, $XMR -5.2%, $ASTER -4.8%. • MYX. A sharp sell-off after the previous rally, as the market locks in profits and cools overheated expectations.

The A7A5 project and its related infrastructure have already been targeted by Western sanctions, including EU measures that restrict European companies from participating in transactions involving the token.
000
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
In the fall of 2025, the ability to purchase A7A5 with bank cards was introduced, significantly increasing the number of holders and transaction volumes.
100
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
The token is often used as a technical bridge to route ruble liquidity into dollar stablecoins such as USDT and USDC and back. This reduces both time and risk compared to traditional correspondent banking and potential payment blocks.
100
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
A7A5 was launched in early 2025 by Old Vector LLC in Kyrgyzstan and operates on public blockchains Ethereum and TRON. The issuer states that each token is backed by ruble deposits held in Russian banks.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 26/01/2026
Buying A7A5? The token outpaced USDT in growth rates The total transaction volume of the ruble-backed stablecoin A7A5 exceeded $100 billion over the past year. For a new stablecoin, this is a massive result. In terms of growth speed, A7A5 has outperformed even market giants like USDT and USDC

• Dash. Soft performance due to a lack of news and capital rotating into more volatile plays. The market is in rotation mode right now. Money is not leaving, it is just hunting for new narratives. What do you think?

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
• Kaia. The drop looks like speculators exiting after news that did not deliver a real product update. • 2Z. Liquidity pressure and a lack of fresh catalysts. • Monero. Weakness driven by regulatory concerns and fading interest in the privacy segment.
100
Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
Under pressure today: $IP -9.9%, $KAIA -8.7%, $2Z -6.5%, $XMR -5.5%, $DASH -5.2%. • Story Protocol. A sharp pullback after an overheated run, the market is locking in profits with no emotion.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
• Pump. The action looks like a reaction to increased activity in the meme segment and local hype around the project. • CyberConnect. Gains are tied to renewed interest in social-fi and a gradual return of liquidity to the niche. Now the other side of the map.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 25/01/2026
• River. The token popped on higher on-chain volume and rumors about ecosystem expansion, the market is clearly trading expectations. • MYX Finance. The move is driven by rising TVL and active farming, speculative capital loves stories like this.

Right now, it feels like major listings and volume spikes can still push individual assets higher even while the broader market is correcting. Playing local events and news is working better than simply following Bitcoin.

Many alts are in the red due to a standard pullback after previous rallies, a typical response to declining volume in the primary market layer. BTC and ETH are down modestly, reflecting a broader risk-off tone across markets.

$XMR is down 9% today, likely under pressure from profit-taking and a lack of fresh catalysts weighing on the privacy narrative.

• Pax Gold. Moving up as demand for defensive assets picks up, making it an attractive hedge in a broadly uncertain market. 📉 Now to the red side, which also deserves attention.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 21/01/2026
• Litentry. Holding up well thanks to ongoing ecosystem activity and increased attention to on-chain metrics, which can trigger short-term upside moves. • WLFI. Continues to trend higher on steady structural buying and a local balance breakout, helped by low correlation to Bitcoin.

Sallywan @sallywan.bsky.social · 21/01/2026
• MYX Finance. Pushing higher on optimism around technical upgrades and key level breakouts, supported by rising trader interest and possible short squeezes.

CFTC Chairman Michael Selig said that Congress is very close to passing a crypto market structure bill. But looking at how the US Supreme Court once again failed to rule on Trump’s tariffs, it’s hard to believe that.
