Excited to be en route to Manchester this morning for #ConfedExpo. If you're there, don't forget to come along to the @gerisoc.bsky.social session tomorrow on overcoming barriers to creating age-attuned systems. Relevant to basically everyone working in health and social care.

Well, that's one way of acquiring art...
Art description reads 'William Hogarth (1697-1764), A House of Cards. About 1730, oil on canvas. Accepted by HM Government in lieu of inheritance tax, 1988.' (there is also a Welsh translation).

Hi @seatsixtyone.bsky.social. Do you know of any issues with booking interrail passes? We can't proceed from traveller details to payment (tried clearing cache, different browser/device). I've tried asking interrail but they haven't been able to help - have you heard of others with the same problem?

These are brilliant although surprised that there isn't one (or any other water refill point) in or around Ealing Broadway. There's one near the park but it's been out of use for months. @london.gov.uk @ealingcouncil.bsky.social

Dr James Van Oppen delivered one of the first @gerisoc.bsky.social #BGSconf talks I ever saw so nice to see him in action again. He compared the session here to an ED waiting room - every seat full & someone playing a trumpet from time to time (we're at @rwcmd.bsky.social so not that random).
Dr James Van Oppen stands at a lectern. There is a slide next to him which says 'using person-reported data to measure and improve acute frailty care' with the logo of the university of Sheffield. There is a pink BGS banner next to him and heads of the audience in the foreground.
