Ah Christmas. The one time of year I can lay in bed at 9.30am and hear absolutely nothing outside. No shops, no cars, no pedestrians. Just silence as if I am the last person in the world.

World building is always fun. Just sitting there and writing facts and making maps. You know half of it will never come up. But it is still a fun and engaging experience

So I think I am going to make it a goal to go the UK Games Expo this year as it's in the weekend, and I am sure I can find it easily enough via public transport. Book tickets when I get paid at the end of the month and then book transport... I got this. I think.

... But I know how I feel now feels right (give or take fifty feet) Anyway thanks for getting to the end of the thread if you made it this far. If you did you are a true hero... So what now? Do I get a gift basket? Is there a party or something I need to do? XD

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

But last night I reached the breaking point and told my partner. They are extremely supportive and I decided to message a few friends to gauge their reaction and get advice. But this is who I am. This is where I feel comfortable. I might not have all the correct terms to describe how I feel...

120

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

... I don't have the bravery to tell my family that I now use different pronouns. I can see the reactions in my mind. This has been a rollercoaster, being autistic and trying to explore your deepest emotional recesses is hard. Trying to find words and sort through hard logic.

110

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

So in a nutshell. I guess this is me coming out as Non-Binary. Pronoun wise I am going to start with He/They and as I get more comfortable with it, shift towards They/Them. I do have a new name for myself, but that's for a later date. For now I am just coming out online...

110

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

Where abouts I am in that middle I don't know yet. Saying that I don't conform to either gender seems to make the most sense to me. It's where I feel happiest when saying it in my heart. It doesn't help that I am still learning about all of this at the lovely age of 31...

120

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

These past few months I have been more open to questioning this in secret. Spending many nights lying in bed and trying to work out how I truly feel. I know that I don't feel male. At the same time I certainly don't feel female. So I now know that I am somewhere in the middle.

110

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

So the past few months I have been quietly sitting down and evaluating my feelings around my gender. If I am honest, it is something that I have never felt truly comfortable with even when I came out as Bi all these many years ago. However it is something I have been actively surpressing.

110

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 02/04/2025

So I am going to post this here as it's probably the safest place to post it. I apologise for the ramble and how disordered this post is going to be, as I am trying to structure thoughts and writing this is making me nervous. 🧵

A big issue in my life is that I have been floating between three different friendship groups and hobbies and as a result, intend to neglect all three of them. So I am currently trying to debate picking a community and going all in on it and reinforcing those bridges and burning the others

010

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

I think it requires a certain kind of player for a 1 on 1 session to work. While we talk about GMs being versed in 'Yes, And' for a 1 on 1 to work well, the player equally needs to be well versed in it too. You almost end up becoming Co-GMs. I got very lucky and managed to pick up a S Tier cast!

120

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

I would love to go back and do a small 1 on 1 campaign or a 2 on 1 campaign with two roleplay heavy characters. I don't have a folder with ideas for it haha

010

Salem - TTRPG Person @salemflame.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

Not only did we do 1 on 1 but that was the first time we did recording a session over a stream. Given how heavy the subject matter was for the episodes, it was liberating to be able to stop and talk about scenes and then carry on or cut bits out and try again!

Went into the town centre for some blood tests and had to leave the shopping centre because of the crowds and the anxiety that it gave me. How the heck am I going to try and do a con this year if I can't cope with a quarter to half full shopping centre?

One of my guilty pleasures is watching suit making videos on YouTube and seeing all the wonderful suits they make. One day I will be rich and important enough to get a suit tailored for me from scratch rather than buying from the shelf.
