When someone publishes a Google Map of incidents, locations, or field data — you can now pull the whole thing into #QGIS or Google Earth in seconds. Preserves layers, names, descriptions, and icons. Works offline too if you save the page first. #OSINT #GEOINT

One-click Google Maps export from your browser. Open the map → click the extension → pick KML / KMZ / GeoJSON → Download. That's it. Reads directly from the page, no server, no login. #OSINT #GEOINT

Ever found a Google #Map full of useful locations but no way to get the data out? I built a tool that exports any public Google Map to KML, KMZ, or GeoJSON + placemarks & icons. You can run it using Python or just from your browser. 🗺️ github.com/salaheldinaz... #OSINT #GEOINT

Matan As Sarra, #Libya The plugin's time series showed a small deviation in the radar signal around September 2025 — below the confidence threshold, but visibly off-baseline. Optical imagery confirmed a change at the site. A reminder that subtle signals can still be leads.

#Asosa airport, #Ethiopia. The plugin flagged clusters of change near the airstrip from radar data alone. Optical imagery from @planet Labs, reviewed separately, confirmed new structures had appeared between May 2025 and April 2026.

Why #radar matters ? Optical #satellite imagery can be blocked by clouds, darkness, or government restrictions. Radar from #Sentinel-1 is not. The #bellingcat PWTT method uses that radar data to flag statistically significant changes on the ground — pixel by pixel.

This plugin was made possible thanks to oballinger and @bellingcat.com for the PWTT detection method and code. Big thanks to @m_osint for testing the plugin and providing feedback!

Matan As Sarra, Libya | 21.688°N, 21.828°E.

The PWTT time series chart for this location shows slight deviations in the VV radar signal on approximately 2 April 2025 and 12 September 2025 - both data points dip noticeably below the cluster of neighboring readings. Optical satellite imagery from Planet Labs confirms a visible change on the ground around that date. Imagery source: Planet Labs.

Asosa airport, Ethiopia.

New construction detected. The PWTT plugin flagged several change clusters (red/yellow pixels) near an airstrip. The optical imagery confirms new structures appeared between May 2025 and April 2026. The plugin detected these changes using radar data alone; the optical imagery serves as ground-truth confirmation. Imagery source: Planet Labs.
