The violence committed by elements of the Indian Peace Keeping Force in Sri Lanka remains one of the darkest betrayals, and among the gravest crimes against the Tamil people. Recognition and reparation are not acts of generosity-they are the bare minimum. Justice must go further.

This was an inspiring read. A recurring theme throughout every chapter of her career—from Palestine to Darfur, Sri Lanka to Syria—is that the dignity of victims and survivors must be the foundation of any justice effort. That is one of the many powerful takeaways.
