>= 120 characters line limit? For my even 80 characters is too long, I can live with 55. Cause then I can have 6 files open at the same time, and a 7th buffer for the REPL. Yes, Emacs is amazing. It takes time to get used to it, but it pays back :) #emacs #repl #clojure #lisp

Vibe coding reminds me of (Macromedia) Dreamweaver. The result worked, but the generated code was trash. It’s ok to use genAI as an accelerator, but make sure that you understand every single line #genai #codegen #llm #novibecoding

Homebrew broke down because I'm using the OpenCore Patcher. Fine, I'll use MacPorts that work fine. Not gonna replace my fine running 2014 mac because the manufacturer decided to stop supporting it. I hear the GNU/Linux runs fine on it too! #brew #macports #macos

They say that even if they share data with 3rd parties it will be anonymized first. I don’t mind about that, they need to survive and are not doing well financially; there’s no such thing as free lunch…

Firefox's survival is very important. Version 135 introduces safeguards to prevent sites from abusing the history API and Copy Clean Link (remove tracking). The Web is a mess, so thank you Firefox for making the experience somewhat better. #firefox #floss #webexperience #webbrowser #notracking

Some valid points, but I don’t know if mouse-free productivity can be achieved using only the native terminal. How do you copy paste using only the keyboard between different instances/tabs?

If it doesn’t have special requirements like high performance use the language you are most confident with (e.g., Python). Otherwise modern C or a memory safe high performance language you are familiar with, like Go or Rust
