Went into medicine after grad school but still wanted to do art. So now I do both professionally.

The Last Song - a slight retelling of Anderson's Little Mermaid. #folklore #thelittlemermaid

The little mermaid holding a jeweled dagger as a shadowy sea witch tilts her face up to steal her voice. Tentacles swirling around them, wrapping around a statue of a prince. Two black eels snarl as they close in on the mermaid. Skulls litter the lair. Schools of fish swim through the shadows.

Titled Bluebeard's Last Wife, this piece is a homage to my love for dark folklore 🌹 It's been like over a year since I've rendered a complete personal illustration and I feel fulfilled. Hoping to do some more pieces like this for my portfolio since the tariffs have basically halted my launches.

A shadowy Bluebeard in the dark while the last wife runs to safely with a lantern and sword in hand.

A little deviation from my usual colorful art - some Japanese Horror pieces I did for Katsucon badges this year!

A yukionna, or snow woman, breathing in the life of a young man as snow falls around them

The Furutsubaki-no-rei, a yokai that resides inside camellia trees, appears as a woman within a camellia tree. Her neck is subtly severed because camellia flowers die by dropping all the petals at once, like a severed head cut by a sword.

A hone-onna, or a bone woman, carries a lotus lantern. Where the light touches is a beautiful woman, and where there is shadow, is the bones of her skeleton.

The hari-onna, or harionago, is a woman with barbed hair. She is dashing forward with clawed hands out of the mist as bright red blood coats her sharp strands.

Been so busy bouncing between cons and life, including con prep for the rest of the year. But here's a sneak peek of a special someone joining us for Katsucon this coming weekend!

After complaining that reedpop exhibitors don't seem to want me because of my tiny following, I got accepted to ECCC exhibitors 🤣 It's been a wild day of waitlists and acceptances.

Bought this for an anniversary of the perma-migraine years back. The artist is @saiyre.bsky.social and you can get your own copy here: www.saiyre.com/allartwork/p... She makes me feel better when the migraine is bad.

A draawing of a white woman with reddish hair. She's surrounded by elaborate pastel flowers and vines, and her head is split in half from above her left ear, across her face above the nose, and between her eyes. There are more flowers spilling out of the crack. She looks tired or resigned, to my mind. Her hair is in a flowing ponytail.

Unloading another series: The Witch and The Fiend sequence 🐈 follow them to the Starlit Coven ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A fiend jumps through a witch's garden, surprising the little witch. A cottage in the backdrop of a woody clearing

Witch chases the fiend, as glowing flying fish gather around them as they leap through the woods

The fiend takes the witch up to the precipice as the flying fish around them become gradually larger, such as a pale sunfish swimming lazily beside them.

They reach the Starlit Coven, a group of three witches gathered together to summon the sea creatures of the sky, each glowing in the darkening sky as the sun emits it's last rosy rays over the horizon.
