Unlocked a staggering 5 characters for a clear with Lu Xun in DW3R. Sun Jian, Ce, Quan, Zhang Liao, and Lu Meng. Not directly related but Lu Xun can get a combo rating of 100 with only his starting weapon which is impressive...boy is fast.

Played DW3R for hours and only just now got a peacock urn and turtle amulet at the same time. Took two whole musou modes and a couple of free mode stages. The HP item is at like 49 though yippee. My preceding runs will not be so squishy. Killing Lu Bu with no defense or HP was hairy. 😃

Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered is a pretty faithful remake, but the change to the weapon systems are awesome. I got a 3rd weapon for Zhao Yun that had both lightning element and the lightning bow item attached, very fun. I'd never consider wasting an item slot of this, but on a weapon? Fun!!

Went back and did beastmaster stage 3 with some of the upgraded gear and killed the last enemy 3x as fast and was in no danger. ... It's a stark difference because I had like 120 hp left the first time I cleared it. Maybe I'll bother with the master boards in a week or two when I've slogged levels

The worst part is the potential for good storytelling is there. It's just handicapped by constantly baffling decisions! It's ironic but I think Nioh 1 is their strongest story precisely because the protagonist is an outsider initially largely disinterested in the conflicts of this new foreign world
