Some of it is due to B. During covid big businesses got to stay open and small and medium businesses closed. I worked for a Telecom during covid and we were informed that if we were stopped coming into the office to tell the authorities that we were essential and to speak to our lawyers.

Likely because A) a lot of taxes and regulations don't consider small and medium sized businesses fairly. Republicans push messaging about this. B) The whole think they'll be wealthy at some point issue.

They are thinking men will just say they are trans to get access and prey on women. When I was in college the bars would have very long lines for the women's bathrooms and no line for the men... The women would just use the men's bathroom... Surprisingly everyone was an adult about it.

There are a lot of facts we don't like to talk about. For me though it's that sickle cell might be less genetic disease and more evolutionary adaptation to fight malaria. That one pisses people off for some reason. As for race, my wife is a black scientist who is smarter than me.
