Slipknot really played barely above an hour tonight. Glad my favourite band was the support act because that would have been A Lot of Money for not a whole lot of concert otherwise.

If you have tuning software available, look at the beginning and end of a phrase. If your support isn't engaged early enough, you'll scoop or slide into a note. If you stop engaging too early, the last note falls flat or your vibrato sort of fizzles out at the end.

000

SAI (they/them) @saimuffin.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

2. Make sure to concentrate on the last note in a phrase until the very end! Don't think "ah okay made it" before the note ends. Don't start thinking about the next phrase while you're still singing this one. Again, this keeps your support muscles engaged :)

SAI (they/them) @saimuffin.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

Sharing some vocal tips that have helped me a lot recently: 1. In your head, start singing the phrase a little earlier than you actually do. This way, your support muscles are fully engaged when you actually do start singing.

I haven't spoken in front of an audience forever and just gave the WORST "applying for a position" speech ever :| people who know me tried to assure me it wasn't so bad but. I know. That was ADHD gremlin style.

Randomizer said Sinnoh/gen 4 for question 4. I can't decide between Piplup and Lucario, with Gible as a close 2nd!

000

SAI (they/them) @saimuffin.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

3. Randomizer said ghost type so - favourite ghost type! Chandelure & Pumpkaboo, honorary mentions to Typhlosion's regional ghost form.

SAI (they/them) @saimuffin.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

2. Pokémon I hate/dislike - uuh good question. I'm not the biggest Pikachu fan and some of the newer designs I think are a bit boring but I don't think there's one I really dislike or hate?

100

SAI (they/them) @saimuffin.bsky.social · 22/10/2024

1. Favourite pokémon - charizard 5ever. Has been my favourite since the red/blue days. Frigibax is a very close 2nd though. Just look at the weird little creature!!1

How did everyone get their username? My first YouTube was suspended for a copyright strike (the fate of a cover vocalist...), and AILE's bassist Sai had just left the band... So "LostSai" was born. Went through some stages of evolution and eventually arrived at SAI.
