Today is the start of the process of getting the boat ready to come out for the water for the winter. Always a sad day as, for me, it signifies the end of summer. At least I have a long list of jobs to do that will keep me busy over the winter.

I had an interesting conversation with an American yesterday. As we are not members of a naturist club we are not nudists! Apparently, going nude at home or on the beach with thousands of others does not count. A very different view to mine. I'd be interested to hear what others think.

I live in a pair of Keen walking sandals for six months of the year. I protect the soles of my feet as I am in and out of the water daily and have no desire to stand on a weaver fish, discarded sharp or broken glass. Why-O-why, do my sandals disintegrate after two years?
