I was crying as I wrote the last chapter of this book. To the point my eyes were blurry, I had to blink so I could keep typing. This one hurts. But this one also begs you to find yourself. This one carries hope and love. #booksky

We are all authors. Traditional, indie, both of us. Indie doesn’t mean less than, or unprofessional. We both belong.

As Someone who has her books on Amazon, should I get my ebooks off it and do Kobo? Then I run into the problem that Amaz*n is where most of my income comes from, like many indie authors. We rely on their distribution. It doesn’t hurt the company if you stop getting ebooks there. It hurts writers.

I'd love for my patreon or ko-fi to reach a point where they can pay my bills. I'd love to not need to look for a job to survive and just write and make art. So I'm gonna leave links here, just in case patreon.com/naiveheart ko-fi.com/maybarros

I know there's basically a #WritingCommunity pitch event every other day now BUT.... what if I host one that's NOT pitching to agents/editors and is instead pitching to find beta readers and critique partners? 👀 (This used to be a thing in the other place and I feel like it should make a comeback.)

As an author, there’s no one else who will market my books for me. I need to. So, hey again. This is adventure, found family and a book that will make you smile and feel seen. ( Especially Hijabi teens) #booksky

Librarians, teachers, I think the time right now is important for students that are BIPOC, Muslim, to have books where characters look like them. Get our books. Trad, indie. Teens need hope. Crowning Soul has a full Muslim cast with adventure, strong themes of friendship and found family #boksky

The 3rd book has: an enemies to lovers where he forgot who he is and is actively going to try to off the woman he used to love, despite not being the main lead. There’s more female rage Cute romances ( yes, there’s multiple) Oh and more dragon and unicorns. I don’t care, I’m writing it all.

This year, I will not ever go back to self-doubts. I have been embracing self-love. Also go to hell if you think you get to hurt people just because you are hurt. I always choose to do my best to be kind. I have been through hell and back and will choose kindness.
