For each label, you can choose whether content is shown, shown with a warning, or hidden by default. To turn on graphic content, you’d first have to enable adult content. There are additional settings in the Bluesky Moderation Service for advanced labels. 2/2

It shows content filters with an “Enable adult content” toggle turned on, and multiple categories—Adult Content, Sexually Suggestive, Graphic Media, and Non-sexual Nudity—each with options to Show, Warn (selected), or Hide. Below is an “Advanced” section with the official Bluesky Moderation Service and additional labels that can be toggled.

When you join a starter pack as a new user, you’ll get a sunrise badge on your profile. This helps your community find you, and lets other people know they should welcome you!

By default, only people you follow can start conversations with you. To change this, check the settings in the DM interface. You can allow DMs from no one, only people you follow, or all Bluesky users. It’s up to you!

Hide Post Hide posts that you don’t want to see again. It will remove posts from your feeds and put it behind a warning if you visit the post directly. Note: This is a beta feature. Hidden posts are not yet synced between devices.

Logged-out Visibility  Bluesky is a public network, but sometimes, added friction matters. If you don’t want Bluesky to show your content to logged-out users, opt out in the Moderation screen.

Discourage apps from showing my account to logged-out users

Bluesky will not show your profile and posts to logged-out users. Other apps may not honor this request. This does not make your account private.

Note: Bluesky is an open and public network. This setting only limits the visibility of your content on the Bluesky app and website, and other apps may not respect this setting. Your content may still be shown to logged-out users by other apps and websites.

We're rolling out email verification in the latest Bluesky app release (1.52), as part of a larger effort to improve account security and authentication on the network. Update and verify your email in Settings. In the coming days, you'll also receive an in-app prompt to verify your email.

Tip: You can enable adult content in Moderation > Content Filtering via the desktop app at bsky.app. (You can't change this directly in mobile due to a restriction from the App Store.) We're also working on improving syncing for your content filtering preferences between mobile & desktop.
