Hot car deaths are preventable. According to Kids and Car Safety, in 2025 38 children died in hot cars and at least 1,198 have died since 1990. Comprehensive occupant detection & alert technology can protect children & should be required in new cars. #ChildPassengerSafetyWeek

According to NHTSA in 2024, 677 children age 14 & younger were killed & more than 127,000 were injured while riding in passenger vehicles. This #ChildPassengerSafetyWeek, we urge Congress & state governments to act to protect children in & outside of vehicles.

AAA projects 61.4 million people will travel by car this 4th of July holiday week. During this period in 2024, 579 people were killed in traffic crashes, according to NHTSA. We urge everyone to drive responsibly so that celebration doesn't turn into tragedy.
