Earlier this week, two men died seeking safety. Waking up to headlines of people dying in the Channel shouldn’t be normalised. If the Government is serious about saving lives and undermining smuggling gangs, it MUST give people a safe alternative to dangerous Channel crossings.

💔 A 10-year-old child and two women have died trying to cross the Channel in search of safety. These deaths are not inevitable. When people fleeing war and persecution are denied safe routes, they are left with impossible choices - including risking their lives at sea. Safe routes save lives.

GOOD NEWS: A new route to safety is opening for refugees in the UK - a win for people power and everyone who has pushed for safe routes. But this is just the beginning. With Refugee Family Reunion still closed, and only a few hundred places expected, we need safe routes at scale.

Family should never be out of reach. Our Young Leaders share what family means to them, and why this issue is deeply personal. Hear their message, then stand with refugee families and call on the Government to restore this vital safe route: act.safepassage.org.uk/sign-petitio...

Reform UK has turned one of the deadliest realities facing people seeking safety into a game. At a time when lives are already being lost, we cannot allow dehumanising narratives to become normalised. Stand with refugees.

A masked minority don’t speak for us. This weekend, we saw racism and intimidation directed at people seeking safety. Our government must reject division and choose dignity: protect family reunion and create safe routes. Seeking safety is not a crime. There is no place for hate.

🚨 40 children who went missing from asylum hotels are still unaccounted for. In 2023, it emerged that more than 440 unaccompanied children had gone missing from Home Office hotels. A new parliamentary report has now revealed that 40 of those children have still not been found.

A few weeks ago, the High Court ruled that the Government’s suspension of refugee family reunion was lawful, leaving families separated and a vital safe route closed. But this fight isn’t over. We believe there are strong grounds to challenge that decision.

Two years ago, racist violence spread across towns and cities across the UK. Asylum accommodation was attacked, communities were terrorised and people were targeted because of who they were or where they came from.

Andy Burnham is right about one thing: safe routes are part of the solution. For years, we've heard governments promise that tougher enforcement alone would stop dangerous Channel crossings. It hasn't.

Four people died trying to cross the Channel last night. With family reunion suspended and almost no safe routes for people fleeing conflict, many are left with no choice but to risk dangerous journeys. The new Prime Minister must change course: safe routes save lives.

Hey Andy Burnham! A new Prime Minister means a chance to choose a different path. For too long, refugees have been used as political scapegoats while hostile rhetoric has divided communities & harmful policies have made it harder for people seeking safety to rebuild their lives.

With the final to come this weekend, players who took part in this World Cup were born into displacement. Behind some of football’s biggest names are stories of families forced to flee. But most refugees won’t become professional footballers—and they shouldn’t have to in order to deserve safety.

The UK has committed £660 million to tougher border enforcement. Under that deal, specialist French police units deployed on the Channel coast can use crowd-control tactics including water cannon, tear gas and batons. It is cruel, inhumane and beneath the values we should uphold.
