I am pleased with how my betta fish dish came out. I’m having a lot of fun playing with the glaze on these fish!

Ceramic dish sculpted in the shape of a betta fish. The glaze ranges from green to blue to purple.

The added hilarity is that not only do the make a scale of coping with cyberpunk dystopias, they are also all millennials canonically. Major (1993) Faye (1994) Misato (1986)

no that is right. i’ve outlived all my loves. (the feelings, not the people.)

but the movie was a lot more than farce/parody of food culture… it was a very sympathetic and moving portrayal of eating disorders

i was excited to see this, because ive always thought that type of food culture associated with Bon Appetit Test Kitchen, now diffused in insane ways into tiktok cooking, was a sign of a cultural eating disorder of sorts, exactly what Maddie was doing

@shing.bsky.social's "The Last Fifteen Minutes" is a short musical (with puppets!) that tells the story of a group of neighbors in LA facing the end during a kaiju attack. It's gorgeous and funny and sad and lovely, and Shing's puppets and props and sets are just astounding.

i found a piece of calzone she must have stolen from my unattended plate two days ago hidden in her toys/behind her carrier. really, when she has IBS? the crimes are never-ending and mostly self-directed.

Definitely try the KineJapan mailing list and ask, I’m sure they would have some leads. Also, Yoneo Ota who is the curator of the Toy Film Museum probably knows more, he was involved in the restoration of What Made Her Do It? you could try their info email toyfilm-museum.jp

went to check on the cat and saw a giant cockroach… hoping it’s the same one i saw earlier tonight. she tried to kill it but when I came back with the dustpan to help, it had run off. and she hates the broom/dustpan so she also ran off. i think they’re friends now.

oh you can also look for material in English (journal articles/academic monographs) on “tendency films”, What Made Her Do It? is the major extant example. It also does kick ass if you get a chance to watch it.

There’s a movie titled 霧の中の灯 (Light/Lamp in the Fog) on his JP wikipedia discography dated to 1926 and produced under Shochiku. Presumably that’s the film. I can check more legitimate sources tomorrow if there is interest?

but not as many people know vtm rules so the reddit has had constant posts this season about how they are doing it all wrong and brennan is too nice to them and people (me) are just “ok whatever it’s funny.” but it is interesting to learn about vtm.

sae z. utte @saezutte.bsky.social · 10/07/2026

I feel like in the 5e seasons, those people on d20 reddit usually get shouted down. Like I’ve seen people post, eg, complaining about action economy in an Emily Saccharina turn and someone in the comments “well actually”s them to death with a breakdown
