My garden..actually does not exist but I do have one very happy hibiscus right now. I'm sitting outside trying to get over the C-crud that took over our house this past week.

A hibiscus in a pot with two big blooms, one pink and one orange ( with two more around the side and back)

Thread. And yes, if we're going to bat back this nonsense then we have to all have each others' backs and say this is unacceptable.

To put this in perspective chestnut trees used to be dominant species in the United States. Billions of trees were killed by fungal blight and now fully grown America chestnuts are functionally extinct. There is no getting them back. Ever. All for a data center. www.gadgetreview.com/one-of-ameri...

One of America’s Last Chestnut Groves Is About to Be Destroyed for a Data Center

A rare 200-tree American chestnut grove in West Virginia may be cleared for data-center development, but the project denies the site is on its land.

I want to go to bed but I'm trapped- bookend to these snoozing boys who are usually not buddies.

Two cats curled up snoozing on the arm of a couch, one black, one stripy gray.

These are my latest one-of-a-kind raku pieces. No one’s buying right now, and I understand - art isn’t always the priority in difficult times. But I’m still making, and sharing a little beauty feels worthwhile. A like or share might help these pieces find their people. 🙏

A 6 panel image on white with 4 raku vases and 2 spirit animals. All were handmade by Alchemy.

Fourteen years ago, HBO's 'The Newsroom' laid out the truth about voter ID in this segment. It’s striking how little the arguments — or the tactics — have changed. Still a solution in search of a problem. History doesn’t repeat itself — it gets rerun.
