I love Bluesky because my feed doesn’t have nonsense people acting like that dubstep isn’t rooted in black culture. It’s giving “tolerate my right wing views at the rave” and I don’t like that.

Music announcement... tomorrow! Before that happens, I just want to give a reminder that at the beginning of the year, I put out a little mix of bad music together and of the 14 tracks on that mix, one of them will be releasing soon! Link for the mix is in the comments!

What even constitutes good sound design nowadays? Why can’t I get away with just low passing my detuned saw and call it a day? All of the cool stuff is too big for my brain.

I think it's important to romanticise the things you're interested in, to cherish the process of making art, revere what excites you. Change your environment to fit the mood, share the moment with others who appreciate it

Been binge watching romance anime lately. I’m not gonna say it, but… I might be. Yeah. Maybe. Just a little bit. luhmaow

I finally found someone I’m willing to bother to help design my character. Someone hire me for things so I can pay these people.

In the future, I’d like to produce some DnB for someone else’s project whether it be a remix or an original of theirs. I should really finish up these projects so my portfolio isn’t just “Goodbye Shark Girl” remix + 50 million unreleased ideas. I look so incapable. 💀🤡😭

EJ | Sacred Phyre @sacredphyre.bsky.social · 30/07/2025

I need to (1) start a ton of new music and (2) finish or at least make some serious progress on the material I haven’t finished. Next year’s showcase is about to look real sorry if I don’t get it together.

Thinking about SMILE! :D stop in SD and how at the end of *Mona Lisa? the sub got REAL loud and heavy. When it finished, Porter asked “Can I have my balls back?” I thought this was about him playing heavy music, but he probably meant the beach balls he sent into the crowd.

When am I getting my Robostep renaissance? I love the variety in bass music right now, but my bloodstream has been severely lacking in this for years now.

EJ | Sacred Phyre @sacredphyre.bsky.social · 14/07/2025

I finally have an idea down. It’s short, I don’t have the right sounds, and I don’t know when I will, but I have the idea. It is there, I can listen to it, and it gets me very, very excited.

000

EJ | Sacred Phyre @sacredphyre.bsky.social · 13/07/2025

I love Post Malone's "I Fall Apart" so much, but there's something in the chorus that sounds like someone's knocking on my door and it gets me every time. I feel like I'm going crazy.

000

EJ | Sacred Phyre @sacredphyre.bsky.social · 12/07/2025

The self-loathing has been more real than I’d like as of late. Not feeling good enough, feeling like I’m not doing enough… just a lot of “not enough.” Gonna be putting reverb on my sub, side chaining tempo to the kick, and stereo width to the snare. I should have been a doctor.

000

EJ | Sacred Phyre @sacredphyre.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Maybe the key to this is to do this as a 20+ person chorus on my own. And then, after all the recording, editing, and mixing’s been done, I scrap the idea. 🧑‍🍳

The content I've completed so far has given me the inspiration I needed make further progress on some character designs I've been sitting on and how to proceed on some music I've been wanting to start. I fucking love video games.

I'm so glad I decided to pick Star Rail back up. I've spent the last two weeks starting and catching up on the Amphoreus story line (with plenty more to get to) and... my god. THIS is the level of grandiosity I crave in my fiction. Aquila's boss theme gives me goosebumps.

I might not be a good producer, but at least I'm a good person. Another one in the trash can. Why can't people just not be shitty?

Deadass just tried to lock my front door using my car keys. Not even a keyblade. Straight up triple-tapped the lock button waiting for my front door to beep. I am not well.

We’re in the second half of the year. How much do I have to do to convince the masses at the end of the year that I didn’t just start slacking?
