please understand. artists don't get nearly as much feedback (praise, comments or otherwise) as you think they do. much less than years and years ago. we don't know how much you like it. we don't know how it affected you. unless you say something, or recommend it, comment, reblog. anything.

I fully agree on travel. Japan and various parts of Europe are at the top of my list, probably some places in the Caribbean and then New Zealand. (Tokyo Disney!!) But then in between each trip, back to Monterey, CA, and just sitting on the beach to rest and recenter before the next adventure.

The number of people I've seen run red lights directly in front of me (where if I hadn't been paying attention, would have been disastrous for me) these past two weeks alone is more than I can recall seeing all year. It's terrifying.

As a fellow ace and explicit writer, my orientation has nothing to do with what I read or write? I highly doubt anything published right now would phase me. Like it? ...eh. My mother read the most explicit harlequin novels in our living room all the time. I'm sure I've read it before, folks.

Ads are the absolute worst. I will do anything and everything I can to block them.

000

Sachiela @sachiela.bsky.social · 08/10/2025

It it helps, I used uBlock on Firefox and blocked the box that shows ads, so it's easy to hide those on a computer at least without paying. I don't use mobile at all for it, so I can't speak to that.

I’ll have to take a look, maybe add them to the Christmas list for the kids. Thank you!

If an author does abandon/delete the work, it's much harder to claim any copyright, leaving it completely open for the people behind the bots to steal the writing to train whatever GenAI system they're building without consequence.

010

Sachiela @sachiela.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

I don't know if anyone else has said something about this, but it reads as a specific attack to get writers to abandon their work or delete it entirely off AO3.

100

Sachiela @sachiela.bsky.social · 05/09/2025

Same! I've been digging all over to find anything comprehensive for my toddlers, getting really tired of the same episodes on PBS kids. But also sad that it's YouTube with all their recent bad decisions.

If anyone is willing/able to connect/network with me professionally, or could give me a rec for a job as a knowledge content admin/tech writer, please DM me. I appreciate each and every one of you in the branching communities I've found myself part of. Seeing little creative joys helps every day.

Sachiela @sachiela.bsky.social · 27/06/2025

I apologize for not posting much of anything creative the last several months. I lost my job 8 months ago and still haven't been able to find a new one. And my unemployment benefits just ran out. The stress is...nothing I've ever experienced before. [1/2]

Hey All: Google is pulling the "automatically on for anyone over 18" bullshit with Gemini that the Dropbox did for its AI, but I can't afford to ditch Google Drive/Docs/Workspace. If you have a personal Google Account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off...

Both, probably. The first breaks, and then the other person ends up laughing so hard that they fall and break theirs, too.

Sachiela @sachiela.bsky.social · 11/01/2025

My only thought when I see these is how, years ago, my brother tipped back in one that was inside a house for extra seating, fell, and punched his head through a wall, narrowly missing a metal support. And then I see Lance doing the same. XD

Dream in the Storm Reopening! It's been almost two years, a bit longer than I anticipated being closed, but I'm so happy to be able to reopen shop. And I'll have a few new items to list soon, so keep an eye out! Link to the shop in my bio.

Dunno if it would help you, but I know I can't just "sit and listen" to anything. I usually end up crafting or playing a mindless game on my tablet while listening to an audiobook (which is usually on a long car ride or my wife reading to the kids). It's the only way I retain anything.

Hey everyone! I was lucky enough to be a part of the #klanceminibang (organized by @sachiela.bsky.social) and make this art based off the amazing fic “Whispers on my Skin (Baby let me in)” by @falsechaos.bsky.social ! Please go give their fic some love and appreciation!

Both Keith and Lance standing in their boxers looking lovingly at each other. Keith on the right placing his left hand over lances chest the has a lions head with a fire main tattoo, and his right hand, that has a simple wave tattoo design across his wrist, reaching up to gingerly touching lances cheek. And Lance to the left holding Keith’s wrist that is over his chest.
