Also unsettling to have so much open space and yet to have to sit that close to each other

Beat Arsenal at home and they only need 20 points from the other 10 games to guarantee it. It's done.

May be the worst performance of the season so far, 66 minutes in and not a single good chance created

Of course Bush was much worse in 2016 and 2017, he killed a million plus Iraqis and Afghanis. Is Muslim blood so cheap to you? Until Trump does something remotely similar, he's vastly preferable to Bush

This sounds true of the Dems only, the tea party, Trump's election deniers etc each ran to the extreme of the Republican side and won

Trent inverting far more today than previous games, wonder if it's trying something else or just because of the opposition

Quansah really struggling here, can't seem to make his mind up with the ball, far too many touches every time

Leicester keep turning down transition state attacks, using the transition just to push city back into their half, reflects a lot of confidence in their ability to score from a settled state attack

They are substantively different, because Caicedo's is worse---at least Jones got the ball and slipped over the top of the ball into Bissouma's shin, Caicedo missed the ball entirely

Surprised at the decline of physical intensity for City in the midfield, I would have thought MacA would struggle just as he did against Arsenal

Bournemouth really picking up the legacy of Klopp here, even with their Firmino tribute by Evanilson up front

If Mendy is going to stay this tight to Salah, then Salah should stay as wide as possible, and encourage runners between Mendy and Rudiger

Looks like all the play is going through Robertson looking for MacAllister or Diaz outside their shape, need to get Jones into the game somehow

The xG was even, but it was distributed for City over a much bigger sample of low quality chances, which is part of the story too I would say

The main reason Spurs should be confident here is that City are still failing to put pressure on the ball in midfield, something they were expected to fix over the break

zain @sachalsarmast.bsky.social · 23/11/2024
We'll know within the first 10 minutes of the second half how this will go, if Spurs come out with the same confidence, then we should share it

On the other hand, a move to a more compact mid-block would require less of him physically to perform a midfield role Though I do think their physical limitations mean that you can only play one of him or MacAllister and it's all that obvious that Harvey will always miss out

It's true that he was too honest to talk the three into signing a contract while planning to leave himself, but then don't force out the sporting director and take on that role for yourself...? As Neil says, he was extremely well paid for the job he voluntarily took, and left us this (partial) mess
