Being the wife of the Sanctist spokeperson, Meltis is careful not to draw the ire of the church with her research. I imagine after the Mage Academy massacre, Meltis found work under Brigitta, probably as part of the research team instead of one of the igniter engineers.

Which brings me to Batlin. Of course, Meltis called him Albus at home (maybe Albus Procnias when she's upset). I imagine she's not coming with him during the course of the game where Batlin basically jumped gauntlet runners to report on the tournament, so they probably only reunite when it's over.

She's deliberately designed like a magical girl - the wand is a magla detector/compass, and the book is a specialized igniter that was deliberately made to handle more than one function, unlike most igniters in the market. Highly illegal, ofc, but there are perks of marrying a Sanctist crier...

Also, I noticed that a lot of Metaphor names 1) consisted of three words, and 2) were derived from scientific names of animals, particularly birds. So I followed this naming convention by naming her Meltischia Nyroca mon Ferrina. (Nyroca ferina is pochard duck)

Decided to follow the stereotypes and made her ishkia, which works to my favor because I fucking dig wings. I don't actually know if it's common for ishkias to have two pair of wings (Neuras and Rella) or if it's just pureblooded, noble ones who have more than a pair. I decided a pair is enough.

Sasha Ariana 🪶🎮 @saccharin.bsky.social · 26/11/2024

She's a scholar focusing on pure theoretical research of magla (think quantum mechanics, Standard Model of magla particles... Basically applying math to magla physics). I think she'd be one of the Mage Academy scholars that were saved at last mins by Rella and teleported to Grand Trad/Altabury.

This Raya Mudik, Kriya finally headed home - if only to honor Ki Sangkara's wish to see her one last time, and to refuse her inheritance. This time for good. (10/10 - end.)

After years of wandering beyond Dihyang, introducing the healing wonders of jamu to distant lands, Kriya received word from her home in Nusa Luhur. Her grandfather, Ki Sangkara Aralintang, lay on his deathbed, and the family patriarch’s last wish was for her return. (8/10)

To the outside world, she became a simple jamu seller, yet beneath this new life lay a hidden mission: to uncover the identity of the false spirit binding her family in devotion and, if possible, to free them from its influence. (7/10)

She fled her family, rejecting their rites but not the duty of healing itself. In her heart, she accepted her role as a healer - not through rituals that felt hollow to her, but through crafting jamu potions, a craft she learned under Kialandi’s mentorship. (6/10)

Slowly, Kriya began to suspect that her family’s god was an imposter - a deceptive lesser lelembut masquerading as Kanjeng Ratu to manipulate them. This revelation led to Kriya’s rebellion. (5/10)

However, Kriya's childhood was one she never truly had. From a young age, she was tasked with blessing and healing the sick who flocked to her family's door, each desperate for her sacred touch. Kriya felt the weight of these rituals, yet she did not question her duty, until... (2/10)

Kriya Krakata was born into an enigmatic family of dukun occultists devoted to Kanjeng Ratu Kidul. Her birth was marked by omens and portents: the umbilical cord coiled twice around her neck, a family symbol of divine favor. (1/10)
