Was a decent outing as far as work trips are concerned!

I survived. And I learned a new juggling technique for my trouble. XD

All-day team building event across the country with my entire division of like 900 people. Send help. It's too early. I just wanna sleep.

Tri was my first one. I didn't know ANYTHING about Monster Hunter then, but it was a fun way to learn. Then 3U was when it truly clicked for me (and I played most of the game with a friend).

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. Now THAT takes me back!

Other than my very first con, the only events I've gone to were ones where I knew at least several other people who were going. Might go to one again next year, but that criterion won't have changed. Need folks to hang out with, else I'll just feel lonely. XD

Sabre 🇳🇱 @sabrewulf.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Fucke. We're goin' Middle English with this one. XD

Sabre 🇳🇱 @sabrewulf.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I didn't play Engage other than helping Redd with a few maps, so can't really say. Engage doesn't appeal to me AT ALL personally.

The traveling also just takes too long, and I don't find calendar management all that fun in this game. This game has SO much cool and interesting stuff. Deciding how to use amd optimize 120+ turns of pathing isn't that AND weekly Dagsion activities isn't that. XD

Sabre 🇳🇱 @sabrewulf.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

So far I'd say Fortune's Weave is better than Three Houses in almost every way. I'm loving it! But I do wish the world map was just kinda baked into the auto-activities thing. It feels like too much busywork to manage, and isn't deep/rewarding enough to be interesting after one or two chapters.

It's a step in the right direction I guess haha. More eyes on the game at least! :)

Doing a little fundraising for the husband ( @wolfstar.bsky.social ) and his open heart surgery. If all goes well, he'll be back home this weekend to continue with recovery, but we'll be looking to make some changes around the house to aid in his recovery~ ko-fi.com/dynewulf/goa...

This picture was taken soon after he had his breathing tube removed, roughly 6 hours after the end of his open heart surgery on Monday. As of today, most of these tubes and cables and such have been removed, and recovery is going smoothly!

IDGAF, I just want my food on it to be good. XD

Sabre 🇳🇱 @sabrewulf.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

I might need to look into this one. XD

Accurate on my end haha. Retroid Pocket 5 has been serving me well!

I had the pleasure of visiting them in 2019 during TFF. They're an amazing organization.

I just need them to do one for Lufia II on the SNES now. XD (no, that DS remake doesn't count)

Ocarina of Time in my art style ✨ #zelda #loz #art #pixelart #ドット絵

A pixel art rendition of Link's House from the beginning of Ocarina of Time. The perspective is similar to a diorama or an isometric view. Link is sleeping in his bed with Navi floating next to him. Saria and her fairy are waiting at the base of the tree that Link lives in.

Also Romancing Saga 3, but I'm getting that on Steam.

My Direct takes (both days): Metroid Ravenous looks sick! Kirby has a lot of potential, but we'll have to see how they handle the open world. Cautiously optimistic that it'll be great. :) Ocarina of Time wasn't on my personal wishlist, but I do like what they did with it overall!

My favorite Kirby is probably still Super Star. This 3D game could be The Great Cave Offensive on Steroids haha.

For today's Direct, two stood out for me personally. Metroid Ravenous looks great. Will get! Kirby didn't need the BotW treatment IMO. That said, if they focus on the copy abilities and the world has substance, it could make for a fantastic game. Cautiously optimistic. :)

I don't mind it myself. I'm pretty on board with what we've been shown. I can understand why it wouldn't appeal to some folks though.

As someone who played the original as a young teenager I'm still excited for it.

I feel a bit more positive about it, but Fire Emblem will be my main thing for most of the rest of the year I think. I'll pick this up a bit later. I kinda liked Kokiri Forest. I REALLY liked the castle town. I just wish it strayed more from the OG. At least the combat and bosses look snappier.

Also it did look like the bosses had some new attacks/movement etc. So they might feel a bit faster paced and action-y?

Okay, I was hoping for more of a reimagining, BUT other than that I'm really pleasantly surprised tbh.

I think Link looks fine. The one I have issues with is Zelda haha. Everyone else looks great to me. XD

I'm REALLY hoping getting my Fridays back in November will make a difference. But what if it doesn't? What then? I'm not in a position where I can just quit in January without consequences that can snowball.

And I feel like an ass even just thinking this but part of me regrets having gone to Colombia with my sister. Because I would have had the PTO to sprinkle in some mental health weeks otherwise.
