I wonder what this is like for the OCaml people who have separate interface files. Do they allow a human to author those, and some unit tests? I haven't really used OCaml but it occurs to me that it (and F#) do have the nice distinction here of being able to specify an architecture in another file.

my wiki software is terrifyingly close to being finished,, it's now about 150 lines of ocaml plus a few hundred lines of liquid templates. i'm trying to keep complexity down as much as possible and i've found that doing layout stuff entirely in liquid templates is a good way to achieve that

decided to install and play around with OCaml and it seems pretty neat. pretty *different*, i assumed it would be more similar to F# than it really is, but i think I'm getting the hang of the differences. it's got a way faster cold start than F# and can also compile to tiny native executables :o

was looking at this earlier and tried to integrate tw to my yocaml site i was like hmmm not gonna work unless i strip away all my liquid templates and convert all the them to typed “html” using dream or smth else and the diff would be like 5000+ 200- 💀 im stuck with tailwind cli i guess

Many years ago, a new engineer joined the company I was at and within a week called an all-hands to propose rewriting the entire product in Ocaml in order to eliminate bugs. I look at the bun story and wonder if these days they would have just pushed up a PR.
