Since '64 Dems haven't reached 50% of the white vote. Whites were 72% of the 2024 electorate, and Kamala got 42%. For Dems to win, they need to solve this problem. You can't lose 57% of 72% and win. Bigotry's, monogyny, and racism don't explain it all. How do they earn moderates back?

Policy, tax or otherwise, should directly benefit the majority - not just an individual. I vote accordingly. A belief that a policy designed to benefit 7% of us will benefit the other 93% is an illusion. THE SELFISH VOTE FOR SUCH A POLICY IS THE PUREST EXAMPLE OF WHY IT DOESN'T WORK.

There is NOTHING more important than fixing the structural bias of the media. Conservatives benefit from consistent amplification of their narratives. Liberal messaging is diluted by centrist outlets forcing balance. Add in all the alt media and culture issues, and this problem gets worse.

Modern conservatism emerged in opposition to the New Deal—policies FDR used to pull us out of the Depression & stabilize the economy. The reasons for the New Deal were clear, the rationale to dismantle it aren't. Plus, FDR had time, serving 3 terms after the New Deal. Trump, is already a lame duck.
