➡️ As my namesake, Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas), was many centuries ago, I'm a real bishop, monk, protector of children & gift-giver. I believe the greatest gift is love: a powerful message & one well-worth sharing. Enjoy this 1-minute preview of a documentary about my work :-)} vimeo.com/1142190539

Daughter: “Dad, why do people give up freedom for security?” Father: “It’s called the Hegelian Dialectic. They create a problem. The problem creates a reaction. If there is enough fear & hysteria, people will not only accept the solution that limits their rights, but they will actually beg for it.”

A color print depicting a man, wearing a suit and tie and sitting in a an easy chair, his hand raised to his chin, responding to his young daughter’s question. She is sitting on his lap, pointing to an illustration in an open book on her lap, while her younger brother sits on the floor and looks down:
Daughter: “Dad, why do people give up freedom for security?”
Father: “It’s called the Hegelian Dialectic, sweetie. They create a problem. The problem creates a reaction. If there is enough fear and hysteria, people will not only accept the solution that limits their rights, but they will actually beg for it.”

Good morning all! Breakfast time! Dianne Dengel - American Breakfast #art #food

Painting by Dianne Dengel of a three-generations family sharing breakfast. Seated around a table, dog under the table wating for scraps. Happy family. So much love and laughter in this painting.

“Wishing you a new year filled with happiness, peace, good health, prosperity, and, most of all, love.” ~Santa Claus North Pole, Alaska

A color photo of Santa wearing his red monk’s robe, wire-rim glasses and Celtic Cross, on a clear day, standing above a green forest with a blue body of water and snow-capped mountains behind him:
Wishing you a new year filled with happiness, peace, good health, prosperity, and, most of all, love. Santa Claus, North Pole, Alaska.

Women messing with men: A very determined Potiphar's wife thoroughly fails to seduce or even to hold onto Joseph. As painted by Bartolome Esteban Murillo, whose day is today.
