This was on my mind but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE vote. Please don't assume it does nothing because all the wrong people do believe it does something and that's how they win the polls. Please go vote. It matters for local elections. Do not become complacent and assume all is lost.

TLDR: Fur Affinity's advertising partners are demanding that they ban adult content. Sciggles and FA want to firmly tell them to go fuck themselves. If they're going to be able to afford to do that, they need the community's help. Pitch in. Keep furry weird. www.furaffinity.net/journal/1143...

If you are part of an academic society or a professor of any kind, public statements that you do not condone Drexel cutting off the academy of natural sciences from the public of Philadelphia is very important right now. We need your voices. Urgently.

It would be such a shame if more people knew this is the 5th year of UF's "AI Days" genAI festival, and that the genAI art / business proposal contest does not actually check if you are a student before letting you submit things. ai.ufl.edu/ai-universit...

I cannot even yawn normally anymore without having to be extra cautious and/or shifting my jawbone one at a time like a snake readjusting after a meal.

010

Soundwave/Baja @s0undwav3.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

It's easy enough to reduce if you have someone on hand to help ASAP but the longer it's out the more intense the pain gets and the tighter it locks. Even when it's NOT locked I sometimes get flare ups where my jaw pain is all consuming and all I can think about is trying to make it stop at ANY cost

110

Soundwave/Baja @s0undwav3.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

I can dislocate my jaw on command like a snake. This was a fun party trick until I hit about 17 and it started a solid 50/50 shot of locking open in a way that requires medical intervention

EDS sucks :/ been fighting w/ pcps for years about it. Symptoms all line up. I can pass the beighton scale (tbf I'm also a hater of said beighton scale, I find it arbitrary and it misses joints that give me the most issues). There's always something hurting. Hard to trust drs now tbfh.
