I have seen firsthand the struggles of illiteracy with kids and I don’t want that for my kid at all, but a lot of that comes down to the parent for not doing enough. This is a sacrifice I’m willing to make, prioritize his education by any means necessary.

I might sound like a conservative here, but dropping the Regents in NY is a terrible idea. Kids here are already super vulnerable to illiteracy and this isn’t helping at all.
