My upcoming book proposes a new notion of "ambicoloniality" to define the long-standing mutual cultural impacts between Ukraine and Russia and explain the Russian obsession with Ukraine's territory. It draws on a vast range of case studies, from art and theatre to literature and critical thought.

This is the first part of a series of digital graphic murals, provisionally titled "The Dam.". It features a mural by Polina Raiko from her house heavily damaged in the aftermath of the flooding, along with an image of Noah's flood from the Holkham Bible, a medieval illuminated manuscript.
