Unless it lets me stream games via steam link and also allow emulation of games that the manufacturers refuse to release or give any kind of support then I could care less.

My burnt out from work is even higher today since Bethesda did what we all thought they would do with dropping oblivion remastered. I just want to be home violating the law right now.

After working in news media for almost 5 years now, I can officially say this industry is so goddamn stifling to creativity it's so sad. I wanted to work in tv and broadcasting since I was a little kid, and now that I'm in it I look at friends working with internet people and think damn, I need out

Nintendo essentially adding steam family sharing is super cool. I wish there was a way to do it without being in the same room to each other, but I'm sure some network needs will figure out a work around. Either way being able to share digital copies of games is always appreciated by me.

One day I'll have some kind of mental break through (and also enough free time) to just drop a piece of content that could be considered cinema

If I didn't have MH Wilds to enjoy and Tranistor to review I'd for sure want to check this out. Never once dipped into the series but seeing a lot of stuff from it and it looks super good and right up my alley for setting and such.

Funnily enough they're like one the least controversial title sponsors that f1 has had. Probably the worst was the uralkali title sponsor who was just straight up a Russian oligarch company. And that sponsor was set up right before the invasion of Ukraine, got dropped when the invasion started.

Dark patterns being used for in game items has been a thing across the space for awhile. Hopefully this suit can change some of that but I won't hold my breath.

The price point for the 9070 and 9070xt really confuses me considering the difference in performance. Feels like the non xt variant should've been like 100 bucks less but whatever I guess.

I feel like if a company is going to dissolve the group that made the patented material that the patent should become void. But that's some heavy wishful thinking. Maybe we could get a small brave indie dev to make something close to but not exact to skirt around current patent law...maybe??

all in all games should be available as something for everyone regardless of platform or region. Obviously the world doesn't work that way, but gaming is an art form and we should not in anyway shape or form try to hinder art via current capitalistic means. But that's not likely to change atm

100

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

People should have the freedom to choose whatever they want and keeping those choices beholden to certain marketplaces could make a person choose a bad under powered console or something with little good games beyond the handful of exclusives they wanted

100

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

sorry, been offline for a minute and wanted to continue this discussion. What you're proposing is what we've had with current capitalism which is competing over the market place itself not competing within the market place which causes way more problems to consumer protection/freedom

100

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

But it only helps to serve the top end of the market, and the three console makers that do it. If you really worry about competition then you should want sony and Nintendo games on every platform to help bolster their sales and show their quality superiorty

I really hope more companies will take notice, I was always someone who felt like I abandoned a lot of cool and interesting titles when I made the move to PC. Hope this trend continues

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 06/02/2025

This is honestly super nice, especially for those who don't follow the devs or haven't kept up with news in general about the game.

damn, I'm really never getting Titanfall 3 am I 😞

000

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 05/02/2025

Maybe it should've just been better/advertised more efficiently. Also we're a long ways away from when Bioware was the best in the biz for making the most compelling character focused stories (for sure was falling off for people since Mass Effect 3 IMO)

Man this feels so bad, I used to play so much dauntless and then fell off a bit before the *update* and I was honestly hoping that it was going to help revitalize the game a good bit. Then the shit storm happened and now they're going the way of the rest of the industry. Hope everyone can find work.

010

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

To be honest I generally pay more attention to your real time opinions on social media vs the more thought out pieces you put out on Forbes. If there is something that I need more depth in, then yeah I'll click it. Also been off the D2 train for awhile so that probably has something to do with it 😂

010

RySoSirius @rysosirius.bsky.social · 02/05/2024

Naaaaaah, no need for that. I just know who I'm focusing the rest of the match. You shall no longer have a fun game.
